If that's true that players went on there own, I am very impressed. That shows me that to some of these guys, this means more than just a paycheck to them. It more than I can say about some previous players we had (not naming names)
I'm guessing Philbin was scheduled to go but had to cancel on last minute notice when he remembered his PowerPoint presentation wasn't ready yet.
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP 37s37 seconds ago Mike Pouncey, a Gator, has tagged along with the LSU #Dolphins crew to recruit La'el Collins http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachp...lael-collins-dolphins-continue-to-make-sense/ …
Pouncey is going too, just saw this on twitter! As much as he's been a headache for the organization in the past, lately he's been a huge spokesperson for us, rallying for Suh and now seeking out La'El Collins... good job Mike!
Albert Collins Pouncey Turner James awesome offensive line! 2 solid RBs. Good WRs. And Ryan Tannehill. This team could be a great offense.
Holy ****!!!! Do it!!!! Sending Pouncey is great considering, they'd be playing side by side for a long time! The SEC connection is just icing on the cake!
This would be huge. It's too good to be true so I'm not going to get my hopes up, but I will be ecstatic if it happens.
We don't need all these guys trying to recruit him. Just have him take an Everglades tour where they can tell him how easy it is to make a body dissappear. Wait.... too soon?
You proved me wrong, but I have too much of an internet tough guy attitude to admit I'm wrong so I'll make something up real quick. FIFY
The new additions plus Collins at LG = T-Rubble. The Bills and Jets would still create problems but the rest of the league would get mashed.
Landry: Hey Mike, wanna fly to Baton Rouge to get my boy, La'el, to commit to us? Pouncey: They got a strip club there? Ant Johnson: Ohhhhh, yeahhhh.... Pouncey: Count me in.
Great news. I'd think his friends and former team mates will have a great shot at convincing him. This definitely seems like a leg up for the team.
Miami Dolphins Using Players To Recruit La'el Collins According to Fox 8 New Orleans, Kelvin Sheppard, Jarvis Landry, and Anthony Johnson are heading down to Baton Rouge on a non-official recruiting trip. It was reported that head coach Joe Philbin also was heading down but Collins’ agent is saying that he has not met and will not meet with any teams just yet. In Miami he would likely start and thus likely be eligible for the NFL payouts for players who outperform their salaries. In addition the playing time immediately makes his stock go up in another two years when he can restructure his deal and sign an extension. Finally the lack of state income tax means more money in his pocket directly. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/
