No one is going to outwardly say it, but everything the new Dolphins regime has done since Bill Parcells has taken over the reigns of Flipper is geared towards making this franchise a title contender in 2010.
While it would be cool to make the playoff before that, this is a phase by phase rebuilding process, and the Trifecta has a crystal clear blueprint they are working off. With that said, adding a veteran quarterback on his last leg, one who leans towards retirement every offseason before he decides he wants to continue playing a month before training camp, isn't on those plans.
It's not part of that blueprint when it comes to the section that's headlined: Quarterback.
