When I was 19-24 I was a chizeled 175-180, never drank beer was very active in softball, basketball, football...then I hit 25. Had my daughter, developed a love for the taste of beer and my job's long hours make it very hard to have a consistent workout schedule. Plus I cram in 2000 hours over a 7 month span at work. So frankly I just get lazy this time of year.
The most I have weighed myself at so far has been 219, for a time I was all the way down to 201 but as of now Im back to 212. Working out my most of my life I know what I SHOULD be doing its just a matter of will power or lack their of. Lately i have had this habit of drinking alot of beer then having a craving for oreos in milk. Odd I know but I figure if I can cut the beer down then the desire for the snacks will subdue.
So as of today Im allowing myself one day of drinking per week and I WILL hit the gym 4 days out of the week. I know im gonna eat like shnit on christmas eve and day and this is not the ideal time to try and drop spme pounds but here goes anyway.
So I will be making a daily journal of what I ate/drank and IF I hit the gym...if nothing else maybe I could be emberassed into eating better. So mods please allow my fellow members to insult me cuss at me and poke fun if I stray away from the plan, it will help me in the long run.
Tuesday DEC 22nd it begins.

Tuesday
-Cup of cofee
-4.25 miles ran
-25 minutes in sauna (UGH) I think I needed to get certain dringk out of my system.
A chicken breast sandwich with cheese
BUt then...had a fight with the woman so 2 long islands and 2 22 ounce draft beers
Some chips and salsa then went to bed.
Had ZERO intention of drinking but I found the small excuse I needed so I did it. -
you should be waking up early and doing cardio. then hitting the gym in the afternoon/evening. lots of small meals. you have no margin for error or your whole day is screwed. you screw up a day, and it can snowball into a week....and worse.
some people make excuses. some people just do not get the job done. which are you?ToddsPhins, unluckyluciano, The Rev and 1 other person like this. -
I was at 231 this time a year ago...wanted to get below 200. hit that back in August and got as low as 185 before leveling off. i am 43 and hadn't weighed that little since my junior year in HS. Good luck!

No gym, No cardio yesterday...didnt go to crazy with food considering there was Xmas EVE dinner. NO BEER.
Today obviously no gym and my girls family are true italians so their XMAS dinner will be too hard to stay away from. -
Appetite down oddly enough, having a couple of brews as I type...
Today 40 minutes of basically sprinting a good part of the time, Bi's and Tri's.
Weighing 209, water weight im sure.
I always hit the gym on Sunday mornings to help the time pass before kickoff, so hopefully the momentum carries into the week. -

Yesterday not good, cardio first thing followed by roughly 120 ounces of draft beer some boneless wings capped off by a big mac combo meal at the end of the night...
But really can u blame me? -
Its Bowl week...cmon!
Ofcourse I have been pounding beer and eating greasy deep fried chicken wings, played three games of basketball today and seriously thought I was gonna die.

You 'meet' the girl, you have unnatural thoughts about her, you get her real drunk, then you take her in a room/car what have you and you do the nasty...now Eric when doing this it is ideal to wear some sort of protection such as a condom, if not your subject to a possible STD or Pregnancy.
Very Weird I know but in a nutshell that is one way to "have kids":up:ToddsPhins likes this. -
We wont even talk about what I ate spending 7 hours at the sports bar, just know it wasnt good.:pity: -

Well Sunday will conclude any real reason to be excited for a football game and even that isnt nothing big.
But yea im sure it will be much easier to maintain in Febuary.adamprez2003 likes this. -
FWIW, i went from about 225 to 185 over the course of 6-9 months. i did take any supplements or work out. no gimmicks
i played soccer 2 times a week for a couple of months and some flag football about 5 times, but that mostly helped my endurance and fitness, not weight loss so much
i basically just learned to say "no" to certain foods when it really didnt make sense to eat and cut out soda and fast food completely. i honestly cant remember the last time i have had either
imho, burning calories is far harder than simply eliminating them from my diet. i mean unless you are on a michael phelps regimen, but nobody has time for it
thing is i still drank beer and would occasionally eat bad foods. my tip would be to not stigmatize foods as bad so much as you dont want them. otherwise you may feel like you are denying yourself and end up craving themFin-Omenal, ToddsPhins and Dol-Fan Dupree like this. -
