Don't know which game to get Fallout 3 or Resistance 2. Any advice?

 

Probably depends on whether you would prefer a FPS or an RPG. So far Fallout 3 has been great.

 

I've had this pre-ordered since like March. Resistance was my first real online shooter, and I was active on there until CoD4 came out. The private beta didn't really excite me although it was fun, but hopefully they fixed everything. One thing that could quickly push me into playing Gears 2 more is that shield garbage. The auger shields were fine in Resistance, but that gigantic shield is ridiculous. Noobs are going to abuse the hell out of it. Grab a carbine and man the **** up! :)

 

Anybody play it yet? I got it yesterday but haven't had a chance to play yet.

I just started played the campaign and I'm loving it.:up:

 

Very disappointed in the unnecessary changes to the lobby system that was the best, and of course, the removal of capture the flag. This is a 7/10 game for me right now. Resistance was 10/10. Most people on Myresistance.net are also extremely disappointed.

They better patch this ASAP, or else people with both systems will choose Gears 2 and never look back.

 

I'll be honest, Ive never been a huge fan of CTF. I always thought there were so many ways to glitch the game wasnt fun anymore.

Also, as Im sure you're aware, fanboys always hate the second installment in a series. Why? Because its not like the first one...

Not saying I dont believe you, RFOM is a tough game to top.

 

I just bought the game, but my PS3 wont let me connect to the internet...not sure why. Any suggestions?

I have a modem connected to my cable and an ethenet cord connected from the modem to my Ps3 and no luck...

 

I had the same problem earlier and gave up. I figured they were doing some server maintenance.

 

I loved FOM and I think R2 is an excellent sequel. I'm taking it slow but so far I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10.

 

Just got this, the campaign so far is really good. I was in the beta so I already know how awesome multiplayer is.

 

Im gonna try it again tonight. BTW, RFOM2 is even better than the first. I love the changes they've made. The health system makes the game a little easier, but not being able to cycle through weapons emphasizes a unique strategy.

 

Alright, my PS3 ended up working with my wireless. My game tag is CaseStang69 in case anyone wants to try co-op.

 

Just finished campaign, the ending was predictable but still really strong. Time for co-op :D

 

The stats are so messed up with the competitive mode.

Went into a game with a friend of mine, he got disconnected. He was handed 24 incompletes instead of one. I've also heard of people being magically handed hundreds of extra kills and/or deaths. It's all over the MyRes forums.

 

what'd you do? Cause mine still wont work with any type of wireless encryption....

 

Nothing special. I did unplug my wireless router before I tried like you suggested I do with the hard wire. Got it connected on the first try with no problems.

 

Looks like they've cleared that up now.

I have this game sitting unopened. I've been obsessed with Oblivion lately. Should I take a break for this, or continue on with Oblivion?

 

I'd say yes, but I didn't like Oblivion at all so my opinion might not be the most educated. Campaign is good, multiplayer is AWESOME.

 

Depends on if you wanna finish Oblivion. Once you start R2, you might not go back for awhile.

As Finsmx said, the Muti-Player is ridiculous.

 

From the screenshots the graphics look LOADS better then the first one.... Which I hated.
