For posters with no access to Sparano's local TV show, here are his takes.

Henne did a lot of good things, and played very well. The OL did some good things, mostly in the first 3 quarters. He was happy with Marshall, Fasano, Hartline, and Bess. ST's did some good things, we gave up one return and got one back, a wash. On D, he singled out Jones and Wake as doing good things.

In the secondary, we need better communication and tackling, 11 missed tackles overall by our D. On QB pressure, DB's need to cover better, make the QB hold the ball longer. and we have to win more 1 on 1 matchups.

Houston will be tuffer to throw long vs their zone.

Odrick needs to play more. Kimbo said he was a half step away from making a number of big plays. Tony agreed, and said he wold be in more.

Odrick said the DL has something special if one of them gets into the end zone, and last week was his first INT ever. He also said he got many suggestions on what he should have done on his Int return via twitter, Stiff arm, don't look back, lateral, high step, and make a move. :)

Now see, thats the difference between me watching a game and Sparano watching the game. Who's right, doesn't matter we lost anyway...but my take was that Jones did not have a good game. He still takes bad angles and just seems to get to the play just a little late, like he's still figuring where he's supposed to be and not reacting quick enough...

Wake was neutralized pretty well by the pasties. This is a copycat league...I hope Nolan changes up his pressures and schemes some because what he ran last week was.....weak at best... The sad thing was that we weren't really blitz happy either....

    Here's hoping I'm wrong...

I think Sparano has the edge because he knows what Jones was supposed to be be doing. That said, he had to try and give someone on D some credit. I think Jones and Wake were the least worst, as opposed to being VG.

It is obvious that Sparano is going to try and highlight the positives from the loss to the Patriots. I agree with him that Henne did a lot of good things last Monday. As far as the offensive line is concerned. They couldn't block for the run and Henne was sacked three times in the game and was under pressure for most of the game. This didn't all happen in the fourth quarter, but throughout the entire game. So I am not sure why Sparano thinks the offensive line played well in any part of the game. Henne was the leading rusher for the Dolphins in the game for a reason. He had to run for his life.

As far as the defense goes, I didn't see a single player on that unit who played a decent game. While Wake may have had one sack. The fact is that he spent most of the night being outplayed by a rookie right tackle who was starting his first game in the NFL. As far as Sparano talking about Jones doing good things on the field. It is comments like this that makes me wonder if Sparano really has a clue. Jones was terrible in the game, just like the rest of the players in the secondary. In fact his coverage of Welker, when Welker caught the 99 yard TD pass, may have been the single worst coverage by a defensive back in the entire game.

I am beginning to think Kimbo has a man crush on Odrick. Last week he was stating that Odrick would be the best defensive lineman on the Dolphins by the end of the season. Now he is praising Odrick for being a half step from making plays in the game. As a former player, Kimbo knows clearly that being a half step slow in the NFL is the difference between making a play and giving up a big play. So instead of Kimbo telling us how good Odrick is going to be. How about Odrick going out and playing like he is going to be the best defensive lineman on the Dolphins. Getting some sacks on the QB or even applying pressure would certainly help me believe Odrick is the player Kimbo says he is.

Instead of the players on the DL trying to figure out how they will celebrate if one of them scores a TD. Perhaps it would be better if they spent more time stopping the run and actually putting some pressure on the opposing QB. While the secondary played terrible against the Patriots. The fact that the Dolphins DL put no pressure on Brady certainly didn't make it any easier for the players in the secondary. Brady had so much time to throw on most of his passes that it appeared the Dolphins were rushing no one.

O-Line absolutely sucks...I don't know what planet he is on. For some reason he has not been able to admit that his O-Line is one of the worst in the NFL.
