ESPN - Jeff Fisher unfazed by Tennessee Titans' Terrible Towel stomp
Jeff Fisher talks about LenDale White stomping on a "Terrible Towel". Pretty interesting, he doesn't really care it seems like.

If Jeff Fisher doesn't care, that makes two of us.
This is not a league-wide tragedy.Vengeful Odin, Jt0323, steveincolorado and 1 other person like this. -
why would he care

Better was Jimmy Johnson stomping a box of Flutie Flakes in the locker room back in the day.

I don't care but it will motivate Pittsburgh when they play again next season.

Get over it. IMHO, it is not a big deal.

I'm sure Pitt. fans are upset, which I guess I wouldn't be upset but I wouldn't be too happy if say the Pats, Jets, or Bills did something disrespectful to the Fins logo after a win. Nothing that I would cry about but I would mentally mark it and if I were a player that would be a little extra incentive to give Bullock or White a little extra whack on the field.

Apparently... err at least according to this steelers fan that called into sirius nfl radio yesterday says pittsburgh fans are really upset with it because the "inventor" of the terrible towel (i forget his name) is now deceased, and he went on to call lendale white rude and ignorant and all that crap because he was disrespecting a man who has passed away... and he went on to say that lendale white should come to his house and he'd break every bone in his face and crap like that... it was quite ridiculous really.
However, that being said, i dont really think its that big of a deal. Probably a bit silly by lendale to do it, it sure is going to give the steelers motivation... either way, I dont see why its this big of a deal -
The Steelers should thank him. It's a damn towel, and extremely silly.
-
I thought it was distasteful and unnecessary and honestly I hope the Steelers bust them in the mouth next time they play. The titans think way too much of themselves and I for one won't be surprised at all when they get bounced the first game they play in the playoffs. I think that gets me more than anything is a team that has never won anything gets a big head over beating a bunch of turds all year.

Personally, I'm surprised the terrible towel is left alone to the extent that it is. You'd think the Ravens would stomp on the thing twice a year, that Ocho Stinko would have found a way to use it to ill effect, and that Browns fans would, well, let's not go there.
The Steelers aren't some holy untouchable pure-class team. They don't deserve to be above the fray any more than Bill Belicheat and the Patriots do.Jaydog57 likes this. -
My irritation has less to do with the Steelers & the towel but more to do with the act itself. It's nothing more than an irritation as much as I love getting on soap boxes this one barely registers for me  along the same lines as the Dallas midfield star incident from several years ago. It was just one of those drama for the sake of drama things that just isn't necessary. They said all they needed to say on the field that day - that did far more to the Steelers in the 60 minutes of game time than the stomping of the towel ever could have.
Thinking about it - I would hate to see what the Browns fans would do to it. -
The 'Terrible Towel'. One of the dumbest traditions in football ever. I mean, really, how terrible is a towel? I hate that team and their obnoxious fans and applaud anybody that throws one of those emergency buttwipes on the ground and stomps on it. I keep a couple in the bathroom closet in case I run out of toilet paper.:shifty:
