Do not... ok, maybe a little.
Against you? Yeah I got pass happy that game (with Garrard and not Tribow though) and didn't work out. Defense played pretty poorly too which is rare, just a bad game all around and you played well. I'm definitely out for revenge, but I know it's a regular season game and I'm ready to win a playoff game.
edit: Sick said he was done and to boot him so that's why he was removed if anyone was wondering.
The Cardinals beat the Cowboys. After the NFL lockout Beanie Wells was able to shake off the cobwebs and find the end zone twice, Kurt Warner had a nice outing as well throwing for 2 TD's and getting a 142 passer rating. Team representatives say the Cardinals are excited to make it to the playoffs again after missing them last season.
are you available today?
Yeah I can play a little later tonight, I'm on EST.
I am on pacific. I get home generally around 6:30, 7
10:30 EST sound ok? I can move that up or back a little if you need.
I hope we meet in the playoffs. King James vs Beanie Wells... highest rushing total wins a dinner or six pack or something.. we'll negotiate terms once we meet.
who won and why?
Man lost his passion for the game... right after I challenged him on global internet radio, telling him I will beat him in the playoffs.
Jags 17 - Ravens 3, finally got my revenge from last season's playoff game but... likely chance we could play again when the stakes are higher, though I like having a first round bye now. I'm not sure if it was happening on his end too, guessing it probably was, but I was getting some lag. It got a little better in the second half but still would have little glitches and wasn't ever smooth like playing against CPU. It wasn't unplayable or anything but think it helped contribute to the combined seven interceptions and low score. Still had some good moments though. Play of the game was probably a 4th down attempt from the Ravens near the redzone with around 2 minutes left and the score 10-3. I brought some pressure and my second year guy Sean Marbury came bursting through for the sack. Gerald Alexander had three interceptions, one of which sealed the game when he returned it to make it 17-3. As far as his one score goes, he threw a pick on my side of the field with probably 45 seconds or so to go in the half. I didn't want to risk anything knowing I got the ball after halftime so ran two running plays. On the second one I hit L2 by accident and subsequently fumbled, he recovered with 1 second left and kicked the field goal. Good game Dupree, maybe if we meet again our game will run a little smoother.
I told him the invitation back is always open and said coming back for the playoffs would be good, maybe he will.
Congrats to the Cardinals, good luck against the Minnesota Pro Bowlers.
Haven't heard from ASU (left visitor message and will text him soon) and Crappy Tipper. Does anyone know how to contact Crappy? I've sent him a PM on here and on PSN, but hasn't been on either since then, don't know any other way to reach him. BigDogs said he was traveling a lot and would come back for playoffs or maybe season four if there was one so booted him so ASU can play.
I just text messaged Crappy Tipper to let him know the league is up and running again.
It was a good game. Very big defensive struggle.
I also had lag in the game. It did cause me a few problems. Especially accidently throwing the ball right on snap because I thought the snap didn't register. I was pleased that it went better in the second half. I thought the first quarter was almost unplayable.
I just heard back from Crappy he said his PS3 kicked the bucket and to sim him if you would like.
Yeah, good game and it was basically 10-3. I noticed the quick throws and thought you were just hoping for a quick out, almost cost you a pick. For me the opening kickoff I didn't even register anything because of the lag so that's why it went to the 50 and made me scared to try field goals, decided to risk it and barely made the one I did. Did get better second half but I was always worried that a spike would hit at a bad moment. I don't remember having much lag in our playoff game, if we do play in the playoffs and it lags maybe we can try relaunching game and see if it clears up. Pleased my defense played much better this time, that's how my team lives and dies.
Appreciate that amenart, did he say if he was going try to replace it?
I will be playing my game soon fellas!
Once ASU plays his game I'll be advancing. Looks like my prediction for playoff teams and seeds will be fairly close, especially for AFC.
What's the story, morning glory?
SIM it....this is taking forever!
Texted ASU yesterday, if he's not able to play soon I will advance. Was giving a little more time for this week because it's essentially round one of the playoffs for some teams and because of how long it had been since the league was active.
Just so i can not check all the time to see if it has advanced, how long are you giving ASU?
Tht way I don't bother checking til then.
As it is I am checking daily cuz I'm dying to see who makes it and what the seeding is!
ASU sent a message saying to drop him out for now so I have simmed and Wildcard weekend is underway. Unfortunately three of the games are Human vs CPU, but on the bright side the week should go faster. The lone PvP game is an interesting one, you have two friends in the Falcons and Cardinals squaring off. Think the two #1 seeds are the Chargers and Panthers, while the Vikings and Jaguars grab the 2 seeds. Will update my playoff bracket and post it shortly. Good luck everyone.
And here are the brackets in a format we're used to seeing. Not a lot changed from my late prediction, just had the Eagles replacing the Giants as the NFC East winner and #4 seed, and the Falcons bumping the Seahawks out of the last Wildcard and sixth seed; AFC was correct. One thing to remember is in the NFL the brackets aren't fixed so while it looks like a Falcons win would have them playing the Vikings, they would actually travel to Carolina and the winner of the other Wildcard game would play the Vikings. The #1 seed gets the worst seeded team that advances.
The Falcons have defeated the Cardinals and the 49ers have defeated the Eagles.
NFC has played it's games and is eager to move on... just waitin' on you slow AFC folks, as usual.
(kidding. thanks for advancing to the playoffs, bud! I'm excited to see what happens on the AFC side! and if anyone loses to a CPU in the playoffs. lol.)
On another note, looks like the Ravens and Jags will be squaring off again. Man, that oughta be a titanic matchup!
One reason I couldn't get too excited over my week 17 win, figured we'd see each other again soon and with more at stake. That's why the loss to the Chargers hurt, cost me the #1 seed and instead of just having to face the winner of the Chargers and Ravens, I will need to go through both if the Chargers win their game. Does look like it's a rematch of last season if CPU doesn't get lucky with Jaguars and Ravens, while the Broncos will try to best their division rival Chargers. NFC side is set with next week being Falcons at Panthers and 49ers at Vikings. Grats to the Falcons for squeaking into the playoffs and then upsetting the Cardinals, and good job to the Cards for a good season and winning the NFC West. Have a feeling there will be an upset next week, just hope it's not my team.
Noticed last game was played so have advanced to the Divisional Round, good luck everyone.
Ok.. I'm rdy to play this sunday Bo$$ .. Just let me know when you want to do it.. I'm eastern time
i have all of the rest of this night and all day tomorrow...i'll hit u up tomorrow when i wake up unless i hear from u first
Bo$$ .. I just got up .. I'm on now.. I'm going to get some lunch in an hour .. Sent u a txt
Well, looks like the Bronks went down. Sorry bro. Congrats Eddie.
Yeah good try DisPak and congrats Boss for making it to the AFC Championship for a second consecutive season. Now the question is will the Ravens be there for a rematch of last year or will the Jaguars travel to San Diego? NFC Championship doesn't have to worry about having the same teams from last season, the Falcons will represent and play either the Vikings or 49ers, good luck.
Yep seasons over for the broncos.. It was a close game for the first half.. And then there were mistakes and big plays.. It was fun guys .. I don't think I'll play next season.. But you never know .. GL to everyone
The Ravens have beaten the Jaguars.
In a game where I was up 10-0 in the first half I was feeling pretty good. Then in the third quarter Jax broke a 60 and a 29 yard run. Then at the beginning of the fourth quarter Flacco fumbles when tackled before the hand off and Jax scores again. Down 21-10 I thought I was destined to lose. Then the football gods decided I had enough punishment and Tribow throws an interception for a touchdown to Fabian Washington. Got a two point conversation and was down 21-18. Then on the next drive Tribow fumbles a run, right to Foxworth. Next play 48 yard touchdown pass to the player of the game Taureen Barkley. I was up 25-21. Then on the next drive the first round pick gets the sealing interception.
History repeats itself with the Jaguars falling to the Ravens in the Divisional Round, after beating them in week 17 when it didn't really matter. 31-1 over two regular seasons and 0-2 in the playoffs, argh. Grats to Dupree, not mad at him, but furious with myself. Score was 21-10 Jags at one time. Had a wide open receiver and tried to loft it over, guy jumped and made a one handed interception and returned it for a score. That's fine, I'm up 21-18 with the ball on his side of the field with two minutes left and Tribow breaks out of the pocket and is running for a first down. I'm afraid of him taking a big hit so I try to do a QB slide and he dives instead, fumbling the ball and giving it back to the Ravens. Should have just let him run normal and not tried to play it safe, aggravating.
Good luck to everyone left.
starry, u think u jinxed urself smelling that upset and hoping it wasnt ur game?
