As a starter Bess' production mirrored Wes Welkers in every way. New England paid a 2nd for Welker and it worked out pretty well for them.

and i didnt lose a pick, i just moved back 2 rounds.

I think trading a possible franchise QB for a borderline #2 WR is not the best...

Ehh Brian Brohm got beat out by the guy from LSU. So in reality he traded a 3rd string QB for a #2 WR.

He's ten times better than anything I'd get in the late 2nd round...

I could always go Nate Davis and make him feel loved.........

Mike Jenkins? Talented player but won't tackle. I'd take Alex Brown over him as well. Whats the point of having a corner if you can't get to the QB?

Brohm would never see the field with Rodgers ahead of him. I'm more than happy with Bess and the 1st pick of round 5.

get to the qb? then why trade a player who had some 14 sacks last season for somebody whos never had double digit sacks in his career?

I would have never traded Woodley but he did and he got back another pass rusher whose shown he can get to the QB. Brown isn't dominant but he's a solid addition. Brown has been in a rotational role in Chicago the last three or so years I believe and has logged 17.5 sacks in those three years. Its not great but its ok and the Steelers Gm has gotten back the guy he wanted and a the guy who will give him some pressure off the edge. My point is that he's at least gotten back a player who can provide some pressure.

Athletes are athletes, playmakers are playmakers. You can find ways to get guys on the field. I would not want to play my Bears defense, that is for sure.
