I am not blaming the referees for the outcome of the game as we made more than enough mistakes to cost us the game...but...You have a rule where the player with the ball has to be touched down and Cam did not take a cheap shot at him..he pushed him. You really think Cam was taking a cheap shot or following the rules of the game? It makes me sick that they throw a flag on that..I hope that the league looks back on this and penalizes the official who made that call.
I know it won't happen...because in the NFL...there is no way anyone can criticize an official and they very very rarely admit a mistake. Let the Titans earn those last 12 yards..let them earn the FG. You want your coaches accountable..your players accountable..how about holding your Officials acountable? Let the players DECIDE the outcome...not some ticky tack call.:no:

It is the only Personal Foul in the History of the NFL for touching a player down.

Can you guys believe this was the final nail in our coffin? I mean, had the INT just been returned for that 15 yards(or had they earned them on the drive) and we had the same outcome and at least it was something of our own doing. But such a ticky-tack, controversial call IN OVERTIME, putting them inside of Field Goal range, is absolutely a crock.

This is FOOTBALL. He was making sure he was down. That was a horrible call. The NFL desperately wants the Patriots to win the division.

I don't think they do anything if the ref doesn't call that. **** I hate all those ticky tack penalties that they called.

Look, the call sucked. And it ****ed us. But if Henne doesn't throw a 3rd INT it's a moot point. If we score six on the first drive it's a moot point. If we don't turn the ball over 3 times in the red zone, it's a moot point. If Vontae doesn't get burned twice for TDs, it's a moot point. We beat ourselves out there today.

Something has to be done about this.

I don't think we need to qualify the thread before discussing the topic. Nobody is denying we made mistakes and got ourselves into a bad spot today.
The point is, the referees heavily influenced the outcome of the game with that call. Yes Henne threw the pick. But that ridiculous flag moved them into FG range before their offense stepped onto the field.
And that is Mike Periera's worst nightmare. A blown call directly influencing the outcome of a game.phineas64, DolfanCole, Phinz420 and 21 others like this. -

The guy was kneeling down for so long that the refs should have blown the whistle.. instead they allowed him a chance to get up, his teammate that was standing right next to him told him to GET UP... Camarillo having seen this did the RIGHT thing, no whistle, touch the guy down! Unreal that the refs yet again make these huge mistakes against us and influence the game. You know how in hockey you don't call penalties in overtime in the playoffs... well very rarely... the refs just pretty much let anything go unless it is absolutely blatant. Apparently, in the NFL it's the complete opposite. Makes me angry that the Titans did nothing to deserve this win (from the fourth quarter on), and even angrier considering what was on the line.

Mcnabb just threw a pick in the endzone. The corner took a KNEE, the receiver came up and tackled him from behind anyway.

To have a grudge, you have to name the Ref.
Which slimey no load having piece of elephant dung made that crappy call?
Names, we need names! -

Looks like it's the Scott Green Crew per those links.
Anybody know which official it was who threw that flag? -
No worse than the 2nd holding call on Soliai or the non-calls on the Titans OL. We had no rush because our guys were getting bound and gagged on the line, yet nothing was called.
However, that isn't why we lost.dirtywhiteboy and Merauder like this. -
that was a chicken **** call. you dont throw that flag in over-time like that. really bad officiating. but we've been raped by refs all year long. this season just wasnt in the stars for us. but we'll be back bigtime next year!

Refs did a nice job handing them the game. They didn't let a physical team get physical. Nice job protecting CJ there at the end too. God forbid he hit the ground.

we will never see refs have to answer media questions
therefore officials arent held accountable
they shower and leave

It'd be cool if there were a sports segment to ridicule these things. Like a "C'mon Man!" but specializing on blown calls or blown no-calls.

Yes, but the biggest problem was that was not the worst call or the worst late hit on that particular play. Watch the replay as Henne releases the ball, then count 1 mississippi, 2 mississippi, then watch the defensive end level him. It's a BS rule to protect the QB's, but Manning and several others have had interceptions reversed this year because of roughing the passer and it is total crap it was not called here.
The defining moment for me was the replay showing the Tennesse bench after the game winning field goal was kicked. You see their coach smile, and to his far left almost off the camera you see an official jump up and pump his fist in the air. Give us any of the BS no calls (Williams in the endzone, either call from above, the push off for the Titans 2nd touchdown, the defensive holding calls, OMG I could type these out all day) and the Dolphins dominate this game. Yes Henne played poorly, but if you're going on stats alone Tennessee had -2 yards on overtime and won? Come on. -
Sport Illustrated had a closeup snapshot in their magazine showing the ball out of his hands at the 2 yard line.

The NFL is become a sissy league....this isn't flag football, this is not intramurals...this is the NFL.
Stupid rules have been created to directly protect Tom Brady....stupid rules have been created so defensive backs can't cough on a wide receiver without a flag....I hate to see what the NFL will be like in 10-20 years. The game is being ruined. I do think players need to be protected against concussions but the NFL is going overboard. The call against Camarillo was flat out wrong.....one of many bad calls in today's game. -
I want to throw up. Is there a video up of the personal foul call and the strip by Taylor? I want to watch the replays.

The NFL isn't biased, but they will always legislate to protect their offensive stars, over their defensive stars every time. Even if it means taking the -often legal- contact out of a contact sport.

Guys...it is like the NBA....
If you have stars...you get calls massaged in your favor.
We have Henne, Cammy, Bess, hartline and Ginn out there. Think we are gonna get calls? keep dreaming.
We get some name players..and we will get some calls. Refs are incompetent...that is nothing new...that they favor stars over fairness....also NOT NEW.Califin, jetssuck, MikeHoncho and 1 other person like this. -
That's a very hard call to make for a official. The Tenn. player gave himself up, but what would have happened if he would have gotten up and took it to the house??
Cammy screwed up, he should have just touched him instead of diving into him.
It's a 50/50 call, I see both sides to it. -
