Big decision in week 2...need to start 2 of these 3... Carlos Hyde is in vs Pitt... RB2 and flex options are: Sankey vs Cleveland Tre Mason vs Washington James Stewart vs Houston Also Dorsett vs the Jets or Nate Washington?
You mean Jonathan Stewart? I'd go him and Sankey. Probably flip a coin for the receivers, leaning Dorsett. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Abdullah/Landry/D.Adams/Garcon in standard scoring? The homer in me wants to play Landry, but in Non-PPR I don't know if I can rely on Landry to get TD's for points additionally; Moncrief or Garcon in PPR format?
I"m still starting Landry in my non-PPR league, but he's my #3 WR, so it's worth the risk IMO. Not sure if Garcon will be scoring any TDs today.
with alshon jeffery out, i have a decision to make at my flex position. Do I start Shady mccoy or eddie royal?
Is this PPR league? I expect Royal to get a lot of targets today. I still think Shady won't score very much today. He may get some decent yards, but I think the Bills have better RBs in the redzone than McCOy.
So I was offered d. Thomas for shady. I have forsett and forte already and I pulled the trigger. Was it a good decision, I'm kinda double guessing myself.
Shady. Royal may get a ton of targets...if he plays. He was questionable earlier in the week. Even if he does though those targets may come vs Richard Sherman. Ask yourself again how much you like that matchup. Aaron Rodgers didnt even look at Shermans side of the field except on 2 plays where he knew he had a free play due to defensive penalties.
Im probably in the minority on this but Id say you made the wrong decision. Even if its a PPR, Im not hopeful that Peyton Manning will be effective all season. His arm strength and velocity are diminished right now and Denver has 1 play over 20 yards through 2 games and it was in a hurry up, down 7 last week vs KC. That doesnt bode well for Thomas playing downfield a lot which is something that boosted his fantasy value a lot the last few years. While Shady isnt the same player and has had a declining YPC the last few years, Rex is going to run him til his legs fall off.
I think its a solid trade, you already have 2 RB1's on your roster and D.Thomas is still a WR1 assuming its a PPR format. What surprises me is that neither player has a TD yet this season.
General fantasy question for you guys. How do you decide to veto trades or let them go through? We have a controversial trade in our league currently Aaron Rodgers and T.Y. Hilton for AJ Green and Stevie Johnson. 8/12 teams vetoed the trade but the other 4 are threatening to quit because they say that the veto power is only to be used if you think that collusion is involved in the trade not whether you think the trade is fair or not. What do you guys say?
The league manager pushed it through even though the league as a whole vetoed it (7 owners out of 12). The problem is that we are all friends in real life and they refuse to believe that its collusion since we've been all been in the same league for 5 years now and there's never been evidence of it before. Oh well hopefully it doesn't change the outcome of the league.
TE this week. Currently I'm rolling with Jimmy Graham, but not only has he been pretty disappointing thus far, they also have a tough match up in Carolina. My other option is Jordon Cameron. I wonder if we'll see a burst from the Dolphins this week following the coaching change (and a game against equally bad Tennessee) so I'm erring toward making a change. But dropping Graham.... I don't know. He can produce big time given an opportunity. Any thoughts?
I wouldnt drop graham. Who else is on your bench? Its not too bad to carry 2 tight ends temporarily. I would probably lean towards Cameron this week. With the coaching change, especially since Campbell was the tight ends coach, I could see Cameron going hard Sunday. With fantasy Ive learned your gut is right more than it is wrong.
My bench is pretty light this week due to the bye as I have Murray & Cooper from Oakland and Hurley from STL. Other than that, it's Tannehill, Cameron, and Montgomery from GB.
Hey guys, I've been using Boris Chen's football model to help evaluate "who to start". After going through your thought process, or even before, it may be a good resource to reference. Tiers updated each week, tiers established for PPR, 0.5 PPR, etc. About the model: The site: http://www.borischen.co/
Got a big Semi Final game this week. Need to start three of the four; Devante Freeman vs JAC Todd Gurley vs TB (tight rush def.) Shady McCoy vs WAS David Johnson vs PHI Please help I am so indecisive right now and would love some feedback.
I would go with your bottom 3. Worried that Freeman might not get much if Atlanta falls behind... and they are playing crappy. Hope that helps a little.
I'd probably go with freeman over David Johnson. Freeman is a huge factor as a ppr threat and along with Gurley 2 of the top 5 fantasy backs this year imo. Can't bench em. You can flip a coin on shady vs Washington or DJ vs Philly...I'd probably go shady again because he's a ppr threat.
Freeman is boom or bust. He got me this far (semis) but his production and the ATL offense in general has sputtered as of late. I have Freeman sitting on the bench right now for Johnson but I'm keeping that as a gut feeling call for Sunday morning. Too bad Gurley couldn't convert that late 2nd and 3rd and goal last night! Damn. Good problem to have, but I need my RBs to carry me. Aside from OBJ my other WRs worth starting are Cooks and Cobbs, and TE is either Heath Miller or Zach Ertz so I need some extra production from my RBs.
Miller at TE over Ertz...can't trust Philly offense to feature a player and I'd probably go Cobb over cooks cause they started to move Cobb around more last week. He's a slot guy not an outside wr as much. Your call on Johnson over Freeman. I couldn't bench freeman if I had that decision this week.
I missed GB's last game, thanks for the update on Cobb. About time he spends more time in the slot. I started Ertz over Miller last week under the impression Miller was injured and was kicking myself with the start that Miller had but Ertz ended with more points. Still starting Miller over Ertz though, not even questioning that. Thanks again.
As long as McCarthy is calling the plays I think you're fine with Cobb. They went that route last week...hoping he does that again this week as I have Cobb and Lacy in seperate leagues and it seemed to help them more then anyone which is relevant because that's GB'so 2 best offensive skill players.
They've been pretty accurate but you have to do your own evaluations. For example they have Lamar Miller as top 5 PPR RB this week, when we all know he won't get nearly the amount of carries to live up to that. He does have the potential, especially considering the state of SD defense at the moment, but you never know if he'll get the volume to live up to the ranking. Overall they've been good though.
In the championship despite losing leveon bell, arian foster, tyler eifert, and joseph randall. Wrs locked in aj green/allen robinson QB: tyrod taylor or kirk cousins? RBs: lamar miller, eddie lacy, karlos williams, denard robinson, ameer abdullah, alfred morris, jeremy langford..pick 3? Im leaning lamar, lacy, williams/denard. Using ben watson if eifert is out. Im struggling to pick a d/st. I have cardinals (vs GB), dolphins (vs colts) or could pick up the pats (vs the jets). Az has been solid but i dont like the idea of playing against arod Any advice? $ is significantly different from 1st to 2nd place.
QB is tough. On one hand Cousins has struggled on the road...on the other hand Dallas D has actually been playing well. Im going with Cousins there. Philly is a hot mess imo and they dont play for that coach. RB: Well I had changed one of my team names to **** You Eddie Lacy cause I was quite fed up with him. Cant trust him though he and Miller are your two highest upside backs. Dallas D did a good job vs Ivory last week so Im not sure Karlos Williams does better. I like Abdullah as hes got a decent matchup vs SF. Miller has a decent matchup but with him its a question of whether we are smart enough to give him the ball. It seems to be an every other week thing with him so start him imo given the other options. The last spot comes down to Lacy vs Zona (poor matchup, more talented back) vs Robinson @ New Orleans (New Orleans is usually a good home team this past MNF not withstanding). Flip a coin. Robinson will get more action if Yeldon is definitely out, Lacy faces a team still trying to lock up a 2 seed vs the team who very well could be a 3 seed. Id go Pats vs Jets. i dont trust Miami D vs anyone right now, still scheme and talent related. Cardinals lose Honey Badger who is a huge part of that D and allows Bucannon to play a certain way and vs the best QB in the league....dont love it. Pats is the way to go. I grabbed Watson after losing Graham in my money league...thats a safe play....Brees will get him the ball vs Jax in a game where the first one to 40 may win.
In a PPR league and I have to start 2 of these 4 backs. I have Gurley, James White, Karlos Williams and Bilal Powell of the Jets. I am leaning towards White and Powell just for their ability to catch some passes.Gurley has an awful matchup against the Seahawks
Had two leagues this year, both $500 1st place leagues. Started 1-5 in both leagues (thanks to a heavy dose of Eddie Lacy, J Forsett and CJ Anderson). Finished last place in one league (5-8) and won 10 in a row in the other league and won the championship. The latter 12-team league, even with Lacy killing me, was boosted by drafting Doug Martin, AJ Green, L Miller and J Landry. Then I picked up Chris Johnson on waivers and then David J when Chris got hurt. Also picked up Jordan Reed and Blake Bortles, both of which I rode to the championship.
