    Game One:
    Pats Vs. Jets
Gotta root for the Jets (just threw up in my mouth a little bit) because a Jets win puts us back in charge of our own destiny. Not too worried about the Jets as they will lose a game they are not suppose to and then they Finish with ATL, Indie and Cinci.

    Game Two:
    Houston Vs. Tenn
Not really sure about this one. If Houston wins Tenn may be broken for the year making our game with them a little easier. However, a Tenn win would put Houston at 5-5 and that would put us in position to go ahead of them when we play them later on this year. I am leaning Tenn for now.

    Game Three
    San Diego Vs Denver
This one is easy, we want SD to win. They are already a game ahead of us in the win column. If they win we would be a game behind Denver with 6 to go. If the Chargers lose we are only one game back in the win/loss column BUT they have the tie breaker over us so we woulds have to make up 2 games over the last 6 weeks.

    Game Four
    Colts Vs Ravens
Want to Colts to win. That would drop the Ravens to us at 5-5.

    Thoughts?

Jets, Titans, Broncos, and Colts. And also the Bills over the Jags. That's who we want to win today.

Actually I'm not so sure about the Broncos. It might be better for the Chargers to win that division and not be wild card competition depending on how long the Broncos' collapse continues.

I'm just concerned with the Pats-Jets game.
Want the Jets to knock the Pats back a notch so we are in range to take the division lead from them next time we play them.
The AFC is wide open for playoff spots and I think it would be harder for us to make a wildcard than to win our division outright.

^^ Exactly. I rather take the division, and force the Pats to get in on a Wildcard slot. That would mean they play the division winner with the worst record which might be us. That would be great to win the division, and kick them out of the playoffs wouldn't it?

I agree with the Chargers comment. If we are put into a position of making the playoffs in a wildcard slot the west could be the division that knocks us out if the Broncos get back on track. I believe if we tied with SD, HOU, JAX, assuming that we beat HOU, JAX and we take care of our divisional business then the SD loss would come back to haunt us.

The bottom line is take care of winning and the rest falls into place. They have played better each week. The special teams have really improved and Ginn (love him or hate him) can make all the difference with giving us a short field.

I won't be cheering, I will be scoreboard watching though.

You are so correct. I will be scorebaord watching and dealing with the results. There are things we can playfully debate on..one we can't on is the heart and resilency of this team.

The way I see this playing out is:

We meet the Patriots in Landshark with the Divisional Title on the line, we need the Pats to lose at least one game between now and then.

We play the Steelers with the last Wildcard Spot on the line in the final game of the season in Landshark.

Either way, our path to the playoffs runs through winning at home.

for our playoff prospects ... we would like:

    NE to lose
    JAGS to lose
    HOU to lose
    BAL to lose
    DEN to lose
    PIT to lose

I can't root for another team to win, per se .... just for the teams in our way to lose !

Rooting for the Jets, Ravens and Buccaneers. I want the division. Dont care one bit for the wildcard at this stage. Also rooting for the undefeateds to lose. Thats more important to me than hoping we cna get by the Ravens. If we cant beat them regradless we dont deserve to be in

    Huh?! :confused1:

    Oh, I get it...sarcasm.

You know, watching a Jets/Patsies game (much less rooting for one) is kinda like trying to choose between the last two ugly girls at the bar late on a Saturday night. You know better, and really don't want either one. But, you're half lit, and one of 'em is willing to do the deed.

And, of course...tomorrow you'll hate yourself for doing it. :smackhead:

Well at least everyone can stop rooting for the Jets, because they are pathetic. At least we had a lead in the second half in New England. And at least the Jets will be 2 games back, dont have to worry about them creeping up on us, just hope the saints beat the pats next week.

Oh wow the jets scored off a blocked punt. too bad sanchez will continue to turn the ball over.
