We did score a WC TD today in the RZ early but no need to put it that garb in late.
Dan Henning blows. He wants to get it started right. Leave the kid in the football game. Henne was rolling.

It's almost like Henning has a Madden game menu open and just randomly choosing plays. The WC has not been effective all year long but he continues to call it when the offense appears to be clicking. I will be very disappointed if he is not gone next season.
I'm sick and tired of people blaming Henning.. Sparano is the CEO of the coaching staff. The buck STOPS with him. He has the authority to override Henning and either he supports these moronic play killers or doesn't have the balls to stop it.. Regardless of which one it is he needs to be fired.. I say Tuesday would be a good day.. Let's see what Nolan can do because if we lose him we will be in even bigger trouble next year.

thats why you run on 2nd down. pass on first, run on 2nd pass on 3rd. the idea is to get the ball inside a 45 yd FG since in the NFL those are gimmes. You attack on 1st, try to get enouygh yardds on 2nd so its less than a 45 yd FG and attack again on 3rd. the difference between under 45 and over 45 yd FGs in the NFL is immense and considering the game situation a run was the perfect call. And you cant argue wildcat since we scored on a wildcat earlier

the only reason why we scored that wc touchdown was because they sent all of their guys into the middle which the play was designed to run according to the announcer and the look of it, but ronnie actually got a good burst on the sideline to run it in.

if he was on such a roll he wouldve completed the first down pass. then you dont see the wildcat come out. you had to get the ball in position to have a FG of less than 45yds. that was priority number one not scoring a TD. If its the thrid QTr its a different story but this is the right call for the game situation as far as running it. You could have run out of a base formation but that down and distance and time called for a run not a pass

The WC is an abject FAILURE. We were driving after scoring a TD earlier. We killed that drive with a MORONIC call. Plain and simple.

What the frikk ever. Did you see what happened after the pass to Fasano last week, what quarter was that? How about vs NE on Monday night, 1st quarter. Last year vs the Bills on 1st and GL from the 1? First qtr as well. Henning pulls these WC calls out of his *** no matter the quarter, score, Henne's performance, or anything else.
The Wildcat play was terrible. It was absolutely terrible. It was a terrible call. It was run terribly. It just wasn't a good idea.
Dude, Henne has a hot hand, the Bills are back on their heels, the WC bailed them out, period. What happened on the TD is irrelevant b/c we in that spot we're not pressed for time, in danger of losing, or NEEDING to score to avoid a loss. Our playoff hopes are on the line, and Henning calls a play that has been consistently ineffective all year long. I wouldnt have minded a draw or a screen, something where the pass threat remains viable, but to declare outright that we're going to run = Idiotic.
its more debatable in another Qtr. Its really not debatable in this situation. On 2nd and 10 you have to pick up 4 yds to make it a 45 yd FG. You can do it on 2nd or you can attack on 2nd and try it on 3rd but you are going to run on one of those. And the wildcat probably gives our offense the best chance of making that when you consider how poor our offensive line run blocks. You absolutely are not throwing 3 times in a row with henne in that situation

Excellent logic.. We needed those extra 4 yards so it only hooked off by 2 yards instead of 6. Yes let's settle for a long FG.. And give Buffalo 1:30 to score a FG..
You should take over for Henning next year so we can have the same losing philosophy.

I don't like the idea of playing for a field goal.... lets remember it was outside of the two minute warning, and the Bills had ALL three timeouts left. You play for the field goal, Buffalo maybe has to use a timeout, but they get the ball back with plenty of time to move down the field and get the gamewinning field goal... not to mention your kicker had missed three already and was doubting himself (into the wind).
I love the anti-henne sucks argument is go play Madden! Mean while the Dolphins lose!
you're not playing for a field goal. you're hedging to get a field goal in case you cant move the chains. you give yourself two chances to move the chains and you spend one play to ensure you have a makeable FG. Of course we failed in all three phases so it doesnt matter
