Do we want him? We know he's been wanting out of Cincinnati but know it seems like the Bengals front office is willing to let it happen. We also know that Ocho Cinco would love to play for Miami, i believe he went to high school somewhere in Florida.

anyway, here's some articles about it:

p.s Ocho Cinco was suppose to have surgery on his shoulder and he didn't. Do we want him?

Screw the "do we want him because of the shoulder surgery" it's "do we want his attitude" and for the record no to both answers.

the browns turned down 2 1st round picks from the Redskins last year. Although his value has gone down, i think it would at least take a 2nd.

off topic but kind of on topic

kind of like the eagles and lito. i think the saints were offering a first for him last year. although i don't think they had samuel at the time.

Good thing they turned down that king's ransom from Washington last year.

I think that franchise needs to burn to the ground to get back right.

No thanks. He's 31 and not a guy we'd bring into the locker room.

I think this falls under the category of "bringing in veterans hinders the development of your younger players".

Adding him would allow us a deeper focus on defense during draft day. People always harp on his "attitude", but all you can point to is his flamboyancy in the media & in the end zone as anything.

Generally, I feel Chad is blamed for things that actual "cancers" have done just because he likes to run his mouth as much as a guy like TO. He doesn't call his Quarterback gay & constantly go haywire on them during the game over on the sidelines.

I like our young WR's, and think they would benefit greatly from a real Veteran to come in. With 85's addition, I see Ginn really having a chance to come into his own.

he also hasnt been in trouble and is still one of the top WRs in the league. Even at 80%, hes still better than Ginn, Cam, Bess, London, Wilford...

Not the type of guy we need at this point in the locker room. Our receivers are on the up. The player would only hinder that progress IMHO. Not the type of guy I would want as a mentor. The guy I would see most effected by him would be Brandon London. London may have a future here, but he needs to stay focused on his on field play and not the type of on field play that Johnson likes to do. Ocho Cinco's personality just does not seem to be a good match with what we have going here.

I can see the Bungles wanting almost as much as the Cards would want for Boldin, if that is the case why not nab Anquan instead?

if they cost the same then we should definitely go for Boldin, but the reason i brought this up is b/c i know Ocho Cinco will be cheaper!

if we were interested in trading for Ocho, wouldn't we be interested in a free agent like Torry Holt that only costs $ not picks?

I am guessing we have no interest.

For a third or a fourth I'd do it. Anything more and pass. He would instantly improve our offense to championship calibre I'd say. Say what you want about Johnson, he gives his all on the field.

I wouldn't trade for him but you'd be insane if you didn't want him on the team. at a certain point we have to expect more out of our coach and players to think ocho can come in and mess that much up. He messed things up in Cincy. We are not the bengals.

I mean, it's as if the players are not men or something.

I'm willing to bet none of that was from this year

If we don't pursue Tory Holt we are in no way going after Ocho Dinko.

I agree with answer385. If we're not interested in Holt I can't see us even glancing at Johnson.
Torry Holt is 32. Johnson is 31.
Holt is a FA. Johnson is not.
Holt has displayed nothing but a team first attitude.
Johnson has always displayed a look at me attitude.
Between the 2 Holt is the logical choice to play for the Dolphins.

i disagree. I don't watch Tory Holt much but it seems like he was only good when the Rams were good. Ocho Cinco has been good his whole career. He made the Bengals good for crying out loud. But who knows, i'm no expert. I've only watched Dolphins games my entire life until i started playing fantasy football 3 or 4 years ago. Maybe Ocho Cinco sticks out more than Holt b/c Ocho Cinco is more vocal with the media.

You can disagree. However you can't dispute the facts.
In 11 seasons Holt has 12,660 yds rcv
In 9 seasons Johnson has 8,905 yds rcv

Maybe the reason Holt only "seemed to be good when the Ram were good" is because he's not one of those guys who has to pound his chest and let everyone know how good he is.

did you read the last couple of previous posts. Looks like i was right about the 2nd round pick. Ocho cinco is a Raider . The price was a 2nd and RB Michael Bush.

most of the stuff on there is true. but even if its not, as soon as they find out its not they'll quickly put up another with evidence saying if its true or not. Should they do that the first time, sure, but they care about being first to break a story, then they do more research after its already put out there. lol.

    Where there's smoke there's fire!
