Thanks, but I wasn't expecting anyone to be like "Man I played like ****. I'm already packing my bags". Although Wallace was pretty close.
Clyde Gates' declaration that he's pretty sure he made the team is pretty bold, and interesting. I think he might be right.
I think he was a day 1 lock, just based on his speed alone. The need to for a deep threat is huge and he is the only one out there that can provide that...legit threat or not, his speed has to be accounted for.
I feel like he can only be upset with himself though. It was made clear to him his issue is his inability to separate, but it doesn't seem like he's fixed that problem. Am I mistaken?
Here's my 6 WRs, if anybody cares... Hartline (does he still have both legs?) Bess Nanee (although I hope not, he is terrible) Gates Matthews Moore I really hope Hogan somehow makes it, he reminds me of Welker with his cuts. I would be happy if Nanee is cut and Hogan makes it, but I doubt Ireland will do it.
IMO, Wallace was right, he should have had more passes come his direction in the preseason. But that is how it is, you have to maximize every opportunity, even in practices, which is rather dumb but how the league works.
With the new IR rules in place Hartline is considered a possible candidate to be placed on IR and allowed to play later in the year.
I would rather them cut Naanee and keep Hogan until they sign better people. Naanee didn't show me anything.
He said he was confident he will make the team, you kind of want that out of a receiver especially one who was on the team the year before. He probably just realizes how bad everyone else around him is.
