Well fought guys! Had Goran been available this would have been an even greater battle. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and the rest of the team just earned major respect across the league. Nothing to be ashamed of. This loss will test Jimmy and the team. Can they come back next year, continue on from where they left off, and compete again for the title? It'll be a gut-wrenching off-season. Here's to seeing a new Miami dynasty being born.
No shame, that was more fun in my opinion than any of our titles except maybe the very first ever. It was nice to not be on the dark side for once.
There was something different about it, for sure. Everyone in the world was rooting for Jimmy Butler and 2 rookies with an injured squad. Probably my favorite heat squad of all time. But I can’t put anything above the feeling of beating KD, Russ, and Harden. Or the Bosh rebound to the Ray Allen 3 to secure game 7. we got so hated for having 3 max players join in FA. And I’m starting to understand the hate we got. But what Lebron James is orchestrating at this point in his career is beyond that. He’s gotten more diabolical since leaving Miami. The “He Needs More Help!!!” crowd was right all along. Trading all of Cleveland’s young assets for Love is one thing. But going to LA, completely missing the playoffs, then having your best friend, who you turned into an agent, force a trade for his client, a top 5 NBA player, to Lebrons team, is next level ****. That’s about as conflict of interests as it gets. He’s LeGM. The lakers have been a **** franchise for years. They suck at drafting, and they’re absolutely terrible at developing talent. Players that suck in LA are magically good once they’re traded away. Having Lebron and Klutch sports manipulate things saved them, for now. But at the end of the day, it’s still frank Vogel as coach. Still a **** front office. we’ll see them next year when the season really matters.
I know next to nothing about the NBA salary cap other than the types of contracts, i wonder if it's possible to do a trade if Giannis makes it clear he is leaving, and how little we could get away with giving.
Would you guys rather trade for Victor Oladipo or Josh Richardson? Both will be up for grabs, apparently.
I mean, i’d push a few off the bench for them. But I want 1 more tough guy. Bam is great no doubt but he can get bullied. I want size!
Bam is still improving and becoming the player he will be. I think what you're seeing now is just the beginning of the player he will end up being. He seems receptive to coaching and he has the physical abilities. I'd like to see his range continue to expand outward slowly but surely, I think if he can draw bigs out a little further from the basket it will help our rebounding offensively. He also has room on his frame to add some size without losing anything else in my opinion.
I really believe hes going to end up in Miami. He doesnt strike me as a guy who wants to win on the back of someone else. In my opinion he strikes me as a guy who wants it to be HIS TEAM but well built with other great pieces around him. I cant even explain why he strikes me that way. It's just the vibe I get.
Sorry dudes. Jrue is going to make the Bucks even better. And Bogdonovic is a BUCKET. I think those picks will be largely unprotected. The Lakers picks are. Anyway, after you guys, I’m rooting for Giannis to leave Milwaukee for the Heat.
Wow. Unprotected. Cmon Giannis! Leave Milwaukee!!!! Giannis can sign a supermax, leave town with some rings and still these picks are valuable.
The Bucks are missing a lot more than one piece like Jrue. Hes a good player but hes someone you add if you're one solid piece away, not to pair with a superstar to get him to stay.
It's such a weird offseason for me as a Miami fan. Usually if you lose in the finals you're focused on THIS YEAR, but most of us I think accept we might not make it that far this year and are looking to the one after. So strange.
Houston sports are really crumbling apart. Thats karma for the astros cheating. I really doubt Harden ends up in Brooklyn. They dont have anything id want for an MVP. Rockets fans seem to want a Ben Simmons package. I wouldnt want that either.
We just ran through the East and took the Lebron led lakers to 6 games. We have the same team with expectations of Herro and Bam getting even better. Why would expectations go down? The miami heat are a better team than the nets with post achilles KD and Kyrie. Im sure Pats had conversations with Houston about Harden...NOP about Jrue. And now OKC for Danillo. But if we had any inkling that Giannis wanted to be here, the smart play is to sign him after the season.
The East isnt going to be quite as easy to get through next year and we had an added advantage of there being no home court last season in the playoffs. I cant say with certainty we even make the finals if we arent in the bubble playing every game on neutral turf. I'm not saying we wont make it or cant make it again, but my expectations are lower this year honestly while my expectations for next year are much higher.
The bucks got better, and the nets will be way better with KD and Irving back, so the playoffs will be tough. I still think Miami is a better team than both. It seems a lot of people on twitter are disappointed that we didnt outbid that ridiculous offer for Jrue, or that we havent gotten Harden, Giannis, Beal, or Oladipo. We have an elite team. If we trade our guys for Harden or Beal, im cool with that. If we stay put and bank on our guys getting better and going after Giannis in 21, im cool with that as well.
