The current version of the forum supports user-selected alternate color schemes. Usually it comes in the form of a drop-down menu at the empty left end of the footer. Shouldn’t be tough to tweak some colors and present them as an alternative.

By the way, the redesign is excellent. Clean and more legible than the stock VBulletin. The colors do need a bit of tweaking, since the extreme border seems more like Jaguars teal than Dolphins aqua. But, still. Great stuff.

 

It does look more like the actual Miami Dolphins' Dolphin.

 

Wow, what a pleasant surprise it was to come here today. I mean... uh... it always is, but it looks a lot nicer today than it did before! loving the new scheme! I agree with Desides though, the edges look a bit more Jag's colors than phins. Loving this new look though! great job as always!

I definitely experimented with this many times. The reason for finishing it the way I have is because I believe this is the best result. I didn't want the logo to look like it was just 'plonked' there, I wanted it to be 'one' with the forum, almost like it is emerging from it rather than sitting on it. Similar to what members expect when they sign up – to be a part of the site. I believe this does this.

Edit: Yep, hotlink protection. Copy-pasted in a new tab, worked fine. Okay, now I see that you went with a pastiche of the old and new logo. Still, I get a vibe that the borders appear to be closer to what our neighbors to the north wear on Sundays. It’s not a big deal, but that’s the impression I get.
