Knights of the Night win!

Chess King of the Hill Challenge

This challenge is very simple. What I'll do is randomize the order. The first people selected play a game of chess using http://games.yahoo.com/games/login2?page=ch&ss=1. The loser is eliminated from the challenge and I will draw another name to determine who the winner plays next. The winner keeps playing until they are eliminated. The way to win is to eliminate every person from the other team. I will draw the match ups one at a time so I won't even know the order until the previous game is over. The current "King of the Hill" gets to choose whether they're black or white. Any player currently playing may request that the game is private, and the only person allowed to watch is me.

When your name is chosen, you have 24 hours to respond to this thread and start working out a playing time or you are eliminated. Please try to get the game in as soon as possible. It shouldn't be hard to work out a time within a day or two. The faster this challenge flows the better in my opinion.

Does there need to be a witness to the game?

If Tractor can play tonight at 9, I'm ready.

No I'd honestly rather it just be more between the two people. They can explain what happened but I don't really want teammates helping each other you know?

Yeah, and I know we're all gentlemen here, and chess is a gentleman's game. So I don't think there's any need to mention that there are ways to find out if you're playing who you're actually supposed to be playing and that the other person isn't cheating.

Hey Tractor, I see you're online. If we can get this going soon we can knock it out tonight.

I am in the process of making dinner as we speak and I'm also in the CST zone. I don't think I can fit it in tonight. Can we plan on tomorrow evening?

P.S. If I get any time tonight, I will check on here to see if both of you are on but it would be a last minute thing.

Sorry, I keep forgetting EST isn't the only time zone. I'd like EST just because I have a crazy week at work and can't really be dragging ass. But if 9:30 EST is easier for you does that work?

What happens if there is a stalemate? Play again?

Yeah, that would be the only thing that would be fair.

in the case of a stalemate, each player will pick a number between 1 and 10. if knights of the knight guess closest to the correct number, they win. if not, skeet shooters lose. :shifty:

I just wanted to make sure. I could see one or two stalemates in this challenge.
