May karma kick you squarely in the financials one day Dansby. I'm sorry this team disrespected you with the HIGHEST contract given at the time to an ILB ever. I guess $22 million guaranteed just isn't enough to raise a family on these days. ***.

Maybe if he saved some food for the rest of his family instead of becomming a fat **** that couldnt move laterally, there would be more for his kids to eat.

jesus, these poor millionaires....5 million cut in half....its tough to feed the family with only 2.5 M per year....

but it is hilarious that he has two defensive touchdowns this year back in Arizona. He had so many opportunities for pick sixes here and dropped every one of them. This is what happens when you are still counting your money during the game.

he's had a good year so far. good for him, but he's delusional if he thinks he'll win DPOY or get into a ring of honor.

Hi I'm Latrell Sprewell and I agree with this sentiment.

You can't blame the team for whatever was going on in his head. -
Ridiculous... Whatever you have to say to yourself to stay motivated, I guess.
He's getting killed in the comments. -
So much for him being all about winning, this pretty much proves what he'$ about.

Where I am, you get paid according to how profitable you are, not how hard you try or even how hard you work. In football, it's how many big plays you come up with, not whether you play with one arm.

Hey Dansby: Perspective much?
Whatevs, guy was solid here, but never made an impact play in three years. Stop crying!!! -
Seriously, this guy shows up like 20-25 pounds overweight in 2011, and expects any sympathy? The flippin' nerve of this guy!!

It's a dumb statement and makes zero sense.
However, it's clear that he's been a better player than the way we utilized him. Maybe, it was the contract and he got happy. I'm not sure.
All I know is that he's been a helluva player this year. He was a helluva player in Arizona before. When he was in Miami, he was a solid player.
I wish we'd have kept him too. Playing with a torn triceps...wow. -
-
We could probably use Dansby this weekend with Vareen in town.

Guess what Karlos... your play here offended me, and the fact you're crying like a little ***** over a few million, when you got what... 20 some million guaranteed when you signed here? I know someone who would kill for $1000 bucks right about now, nevermind the million's you're crying about when you already have a million you ungrateful prick.
The one thing that really concerns me in this article however... we cut him by phone? Seriously??? Way to go Ireland if true.... that's just pathetic on our part, and I can't say I'd blame him for being a bit bitter about that. -
3 Things....
1. You know what else is disrespectful Karlos? Complaining when you are making a few million.
2. Hes not wrong about it being disrespectful to cut a player over the phone. Thats not how its supposed to be done. You get get a knock on the door to hand in your playbook. You get a meeting and asked to restructure. Something. Speaks to the lack of leadership/common courtesy in the front office and Irelands reputation. A few players now have said similar things. Even if we won the Super Bowl I dont want Ireland around....I dont want the reputation of our GM scaring players off, creating rumors and scuttle about what goes on...thats the type of stuff that really distracts players when they see another peer who played hurt get completely disrespected like that.
3. My beef the whole time he was here is that he wasnt utilized as well as well as he could be. Dansby is a 3-4 player. He was good here but he could have been better had he been used better. I put that at the feet of the coaches.KB21 likes this. -

Remember guys it was also a stealth swap. They signed our new LB's and dropped our old ones at the same time. Would have blown things if word got out we cut them first.

He also gave Parcells and Mike Nolan credit for him being the player he is today. That playing and learning under those two are what sold him on coming to Miami. But if he could it all over again, he'd pass on Miami.
I'm not really feeling the money/kids plate stuff from a multi-millionaire. But cutting a guy over the phone is generally unprofessional to me. If he were out of the area that makes it a bit different.
EDIT: I want to say that they originally tried to renegotiate with him and he wasn't interested? Something like that?Boik14 likes this. -
No sympathy for Dansby. Always out of shape and running his mouth while here. -
He's in the wrong league, that's what's great about the NFL compared to the MLB/NBA, you have to earn it to get the full amount guaranteed.
