I want nothing more than competition for Henne. It just won't be Thigpen. He hasn't been given a chance to compete for the starting spot yet. What makes you think he would get that chance this year? He will go somewhere he gets that chance. Won't be here.

Friend huck1974: fairness, necessity & common sense

as you pointed out, as of yet, Thigpen has not had a legitimate opportunity to win the start or even show what he is capable of doing in a game. let him compete, the cream will rise to the top. the best should start:Henne, Thigpen or the new guy whoever he will be

the change we need is two-fold for 2011:
    1) the addition of a third veteran QB in free agency
    2) a level playing field to maximize competition

  3. I'm with Padre on thinking the Dolphins should be giving a hard look at Vince Young. He comes relativily cheap and is capable of providing competetion for Henne.

Thigpen I like but if he stays here it should be as our 3rd stringer and if he has better opprotunities elsewhere he should take one of them. We probably need to find ourselves two QB's this offseason.

What I find the most troublesome is the built in excuse this staff has going into this season if we once again underperform at the QB postion. I can hear it now....limited camp time to install a new system, blah blah blah..... If our offense struggles again this year I do not want Sporano back.

Thats what I'm trying to say. Also, I don't think preseason will be enough time to fairly judge him either.
