In Morrow county here in Ohio,

Lack of funds will force the county to be "sherrifless" for 6 hours each day to save money.

What is bad is that this is even public record because it just puts a bullseye on those people. :pity:

Sad to say but just the very small tip of a huge Iceburg that USS United States is headed straight for with a locked rudder.:pity:

Well, to be objective, what happened to volunteerism? Why couldn't volunteers man the desk during those hours?

....Luckily 'I' dont live anywhere near Morrow County, but if we drive past it I guess you could smash the gas and get the Honda maxed out at 76 MPH without fear of a ticket.

Sad to hear about that. Probably would never have arisen if there hadn't been so many social workers, and administrative do-nothings on the payroll. Grandiose government building projects don't help the finance either - but its all a matter of priorities.

Forced government reduction is exactly what is needed. I am sure your government leaders will find a way to figure it out. Either you are getting ready to pay a whole bunch more in taxes or government is gonna get smaller.

Forced government reduction will cause you an over all better life in the end. Buffalo New York ran out of money several years ago and although I don't know the exact details of their government shutdown, I believe they shut "City Hall" for 6 weeks that year........they saved 50 million doing so. Have had a balanced budget since and the city is running leaner and meaner since.....they are looking for more ways to cut waste and extend better services to people......................with less money.............now there's an idea!!!!!!!!!!!!:wink2:
