Super Bowl VII: January 14th, 1973.
The "underdog" Miami Dolphins defeat the Washington Redskins 14-7 to cement their place in sports history as the ONLY team to go undefeated an entire season. Perfection, save for Garo Yepremian's wobbly pass late in the game on a botched FG attempt that gave Washington their only score; a 49 yard TD return.
The MVP was safety Jake Scott, with two INTs for 63 return yards. I wasn't even a glint in my father's eye at the time, but he still debates NT Manny Fernandez should have been the recipient with something like 15+ tackles and several for losses. Maybe some of you guys who were around back then could elaborate.
Just thought I'd share something different amid the frustrating OC and GM searches.
Does anyone here have some stories to share about that year?

Those were some good times to be a Dolphin fan.
Hope to see it again befoe another forty years pass. -

Second off Fiedler has ruined this team, he couldn't even get Ted Ginn the football. Run.tell.that. -
I guess you must be trolling then.

wish i was born to see it, and to see the franchise when it was elite.

What's the point? Were you bored? -

I liked and still like Fiedler. He wasn't the most gifted but he was a hard worker and was mentally tough. Definitely one of our better QBs.

I like the idea of this thread continuing on with everyone chiming in with a bit of "this day in NFL history" from Dolphins or other team / NFL related matters.
