It's uncanny.
I think every single move the Dolphins have made so far has been a move I've publicly denounced well before it actually happened.
Prime example, a few weeks ago padre31 says to me (paraphrasing), "A lot of players are going to be cut by the Cowboys. Marc Colombo could be one of them. I could see the Dolphins grabbing him." To which I reply, "Colombo is old and played like sh-t the last few years, got Tony Romo killed. I have no idea why they'd be interested in him."
Sure enough, Marc Colombo signs on the dotted line.
And people think I'm just taking a sh-t on every move the Dolphins make just for the hell of it, as if I'd normally praise these moves if done by another team, but because the Dolphins did it I have to disapprove. They can go on thinking that if they want. They're wrong, and ignorant to boot. What keeps happening is a move gets proposed hypothetically, I say "I wouldn't do that, because of X, Y and Z" and then the Dolphins do it...and suddenly everyone expects me to change my mind, which I would find to be the very definition of being an irrational homer.GMJohnson, SICK, schmolioot and 4 others like this. -
Insurance in case Long might be out longer then expected?

If its for depth its a great signing. If he is going to start then why in the heck?

Sounds like they're trying to get Carey to take a pay cut.

With the Dolphins signing M Columbo, I wonder if the Fins will rework the contract of Vernon Carey--or hold his feet to the fire...GMJohnson likes this. -
I know you aren't high on Colombo as a starter. What are your thoughts in him for depth?Anonymous likes this. -

praising jimmy wilson, excited for him how he will do on special teams, also on the back end when the ball is in there, "ball finds him", loves his physicality

What should be a strength for both the team and this regime isn't and that , to me , is not a leading indicator of success .

Marc Colombo last played well...2 years ago.
and has deteriorated ever since.
Look, I am a Dolphin fan, I WANT them to do well..but there is no explanation for this move. There is no supporting film, no angels on a shoulder, no "upside", no SHOT of him returning to being a good player. The horse left the barn with him.
He is not even a good option as a backup at RT.
why can't good players be former Cowboys?ToddsPhins, ckparrothead and MrClean like this.
