How are things gang? I know it has been a while since I have visited this site and I do truly apologize for that... I have had a rough couple of years that has had me consumed. However, this will all soon be over within the next 2 months. It will be questionable if I will actually be ready to play in a game but I am ready to bring this team together again and venture forth in planning an event this year. As such, I am giving everyone notice that I will be actively pursuing a game this year that will be in the mid-west or on the west coast. Where we go will be up to all of you as my funds will be a bit tight and I will not be able to contribute as much to the gathering as I have in the past. I give EVERYONE my word that I will do the best to give as much as I can and be sure that we are represented well on the field and off. The first step of this process, of course, is getting people to commit as early as possible. I still have all the stats from everyone that was a part of this team in the past but I would like everyone that wants to play to re-submit their data. Also, for everyone that plans to play, please start saving your money NOW!!! We have at least 6 months before we would be traveling so plan accordingly. Initially, if everyone could plan to commit to a minimum of $350.00, I am sure that I could get airfare, hotel, team jerseys and game tickets for everyone. Now this doesn't mean that people within a 1 - 6 hour drive is going to fly. Also, some of the money that you contribute will help other team mates from further away get there. However, you have to stop and think about what it would cost you to get a hotel room for the weekend and tickets to the game if you went at it alone... The past events ranged in cost from $5000.00 to $9,000.00. The last game, the JETS fans backed out on us, being the most expensive. We had 16 members/players that participated in that weekend in Jersey. That equated to approximately $560.00 per person on average. We raised $2500.00 through the site and $100.00 given per person. I sponsored the rest… Not complaining about it but just needed to let you know that it costs a bit to put this type of event together and the need for EVERYONE to plan for it now… Ideas for raising funds are also good. If you can find a sponsor, that would be GREAT! I, of course, will be working the sponsorship and other avenues of fund raising over the next 6 months as well to try and minimize the cost for everyone. Now for the necessities. Please go to the sticky in this forum and follow the directions there… If you do not follow those directions, your submission will be rejected. I am going to limit the roster to 20 members for the time being to develop a starting line up for offense and defense with a few to spell both sides. However, I will open it up again once we determine where we will be playing at this year. Let’s get this thing rockin again guys!!!
