I AM of the belief that all the players who are crippled due to the lack of health care and disability and stuff like that need help from the nfl regardless of how they got into this situation these guys have made sacrifices for us on sundays so I really feel that these players that cant get around and as a dolphin fan i hope guys that made sacrifices for us on sundays should be able to get some help .
Cleveland Gary is a example of a guy who i feell sympthyfor .
its odd how nobody ever talks about him as a runningback and there are hardly any pics of him what is your opinion of Cleveland Gary.
32 Cleveland Gary, running backCareer:
Coming out of the University of Miami, the Los Angeles Rams picked him in the first round of the 1989 draft. In 1990, he led the league in rushing touchdowns with 14. He was cut by the Rams in 1994, signing with the Dolphins. He saw action in two games. He returned to the Rams' training camp in 1995, but was cut.
Salary in 1994:
Reportedly $160,000 from the Dolphins.
Now:
He declared bankruptcy five weeks after leaving the game, saddled with faltering businesses, including a music recording studio and coin laundries, according to press accounts. He runs two Palm Beach County companies, Healthway Shopping Network and the Black Shopping Channel. He is described in a 2011 press release as "the epitome of a self-made millionaire," but a July 2010 Stuart News story reported that his wages were being garnished.

This guy fell on hard times like a **** ton of Americans. Difference is he had an opportunity to make a lot more money then most. Sucks for him, but I have no more sympathy for him than some random dude down the street.
