Nice piece there on Ricky Williams too. Glad he's doing well for himself. Always thought he was a fascinating individual the more we got to know him, seeing some of those highlights again... man was he good.
I love this team, this sport, this team and this board. Win lose or draw I couldn't think of a better way to spend on of the Monday Nights I get in this lifetime. Lets be appreciative, and positive ladies and laddies. Not going bat**** panicky when our young team makes a mistake or three. Enjoy this ride. It's all we get. B. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Agree... except about him being good. He was one of the greatest running backs to ever touch a football. If he had stayed motivated he would be top ten if not top three all time. He'll he probably IS top ten all time, even with the missed years no games. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Wish Wake was playing for this huge prime time game, but better to err on the side of caution. Miami needs him healthy.
Absolutely hate how the Saints/media welcome back Sean Payton like a hero when he was part of such a disgusting scandal last season.
Hm. So more LB blitzes. That's trouble. I expect Brees to hit Sproles as the outlet to the left on the regular, and Sproles to make us pay when the LB blitzes.
Risking major or ongoing injury, I suppose. Would you rather have him tonight at 50%, then either 50% for both Pats games, or not at all of the Pats games... Or have him not at all tonight, and at 100% for both Pats games?
My guess is that they probably want someone better vs the run early in the game and once NO starts passing Dion gets a lot more run.
Oh! Yeah, good point. I like Boik's answer. Also, I think they have Dion o a snap count. He is most effective when he is fresh late in games. See how Oregon used him.
To me, Will Davis being inactive is the Dolphins expecting a lot of tackling to be required... Sproles. And the run game. Wil Davis would be a liability in that sort of game.
I had my Wake jersey on... but after the ESPN piece on Tannehill and finding out Wake was ruled out, I switched to Tannehill again. The other reason for the switch... I've been wearing the Tannehill jersey for the first three wins. Why mess with that... Only difference today... No drinking for me. After the mess I got into yesterday at the Lions game, I cant even look at a beer right now.
I have one request to the football gods tonight. Please make this an injury free, nailbiter. Win or lose I will be pleased with that outcome. As long as the Phins don't get blown out this should be a fun game.
Amazing how a venue can single-handedly create an atmosphere that forces you to show what kind of team you are if your the visiting one...I love it..
The 35 yr old venue which was home to a team that only had 51% of its total victories occur at home prior to Drew Brees' arrival? Definitely the venue that is single-handedly creating the atmosphere.
Haven't been this excited for a game on a while. We have the chance to show the nation what we are about. Go kick the **** out of the medusa darlings and show that that the dolphins are a better overall team than the saints. Sure they got breese, we got tannehill, our defense is better. I want to be watching ESPN at midnight with steve young talking about how this is only the saints defense 1st year together and they will get better. Tonight, the Dolphins TAKE the Stage!
It's nothing that spectacular... I just drank way, way too much without eating enough. I don't remember leaving Ford Field. I don't remember getting on the bus to come home. I don't remember getting off the bus. I don't remember crossing the border or going through customs. I do however remember puking on the bus into a Detroit Lions popcorn container. I don't remember the car ride home. I do remember puking in my front yard. I don't remember coming into the house. I do remember waking up 3 hours later on the couch and sending the wife to McDonalds to get me some cheese burgers, which I ate three bites of, and puked up lol Anything else that happened in between... I have no idea either. Someone told me the final score was 40-32 today, and I was totally confused, Last I remembered the Bears were getting blown out. lol Ahh well...
