Your right, that was truly awesome.

That is less what football is really about and more what being a decent human being is about. In a selfish world it's rare to see a true act of kindness. Glad to see there is still decency in the world.

Thanks Puka-head,
At a time in this world where it seems that the only thing you read or hear about is bad, nothing seems to be going right, and no one seems to care somebody steps up and proves us wrong. Thank God for small towns and caring people who remind us often that most of this world is made up of really good people. Who, given the chance, will step up to the plate and give their all just because its the right and loving thing to do.
I'll stop now cause somethings in my eyes too.Rocky Raccoon, njfinfan and cnc66 like this. -

You are ALL very welcome! It's about sportsmanship, something thats lost in our win at all costs society. I quit coaching pee-wee football a few years ago when I had a 10 yr old kid knocked unconcious, totally freak hit nothing malicious, but the oppsing coach and about half his kids were cheering and laughing about it. When I played football somebody got hurt you took a knee and clapped as they were coming off.
This story really gave me some hope that we haven't completely lost our humanity and maybe I should get into coaching again so I can try to teach kids the right way to do it. I know there are lots of great coaches out there doing the right thing, but like you guys all said, you just don't get to hear about it much.
Glad you enjoyed the story tho.
