I was watching the draft with a Bengals fan tonight. He feels sorry for me.
This isn't even entirely about Mallet. If they didn't want him, fine. But don't sacrifice the majority of our remaining picks to take a mediocre mid tier blah ****ing blah RB.
If any of you think this play it safe regime with their limp dick picks is ever going to build a team that can even sniff the playoffs I want some of what you're sniffing.
I hate to say it but the best thing we can hope for is a disaster season in 2011. I've never been that type of fan, but our ceiling is another 6-10, 7-9 season and that won't bring the changes this franchise needs.

True, we have what we have, now you know I think Irish does a solid solid job finding UDFA's who can contribute, that is one of the reasons why I like this draft so far but do think we need a passrushing specialist like Carter or Acho and ST help, otherwise I spent the offseason pointing out how far the running game fell and they are addressing it..how can I complain to loudly?
Will say I'd have liked it if they sniffed CFL running back Corey Boyd, but it is what it is. -

Yo uare 100% corerect. Even through the mediocre years, I always said "We need to tank a season to get some picks and clean house". Well. that season (1-15) happened and what did we get? a flash in the pan season with no chance and then squat. A total organizational enima is in order.

I'd like to remind everyone I created this thread whilst hammered during the draft. However, I stand by (most of) the stuff I said about Ireland. Ireland is definitely a ginger weasel, no doubt about it. Daniel Thomas pick still pisses me off.
