Sick of this team can’t watch any more of this game. Fire them all let’s rebuild!! TUA is a failure, and the oline sucks ball juice! I HATE THIS TEAM I speak for all of us!
I'd offer Holland and all our firsts for the rest of the decade for Taylor. We need to improve our run game.
lol.. yeah.. Grier is such a terrible GM! He took Tua, spent all that money on Hill, hired McDaniel and Fangio, the list goes on and on.
Couldn’t even kick a field goal and score three at the end of the game when the season was on the line! Jokers
Our record is pathetic. All we've done so far is beat teams with losing records. Next week I'm going to mow the lawn instead of watching these bunch of overpaid hoods.
Feels good being back to where we actually belong. Like I wrote in the game thread, I don’t remember having a complete team like the one we have right now. Not the early 90‘ Dolphins nor the Zach Thomas teams. Only injuries can hold us back from achieving something this season we haven’t in decades!
Had a dear friend over today to watch the game with me and Mrs TDK. She’s a Broncos fan…sorry Irene, but when we hit 56, I told them after all of these years of heartache, i DESERVE this game. Little sis I know we were going to run it up even more.
A great Quarterback would have set the consecutive completions in a game record easily against a team like Denver. I just don't see elite with Tua and I really think Mike White should be starting. What a pathetic game!
All jokes aside, it's pretty crazy that we hung 70 on them today. That's pretty impressive. The complete, total, and utter radio silence from the few remaining haters on this forum is nice.
And radio silence is what they deserve back when they return at the slightest setback from this team. They have shown their true colors without a shadow of a doubt.
I think the only reason any of us are joking about it is that most of us have no idea how to process what we just witnessed. Outside of those that saw the Marino era teams and a couple of bright spots since, most of the fanbase has grown up seeing the team taking hammerings more than dishing them out.
I’m one of the few here that saw the 72 perfect season. Granted I was just a boy but I remember the Dolphins playing every Sunday and every time they won. The next time I had that feeling was the 1984 season when Marino SHATTERED the record book and we went to the Super Bowl. I really thought there would have been many more appearances after that season. I’ve not had that feeling about the Dolphins until this season, particularly THIS game. I’m on record for saying I’m not worried about the Chiefs…I’m not worried about the Bills. This offense is unstoppable and with the defense only getting better and better each week under Fangio, I’m ALMOST about to say I’m not worried about any other team in the league. Are we going to win every game this season? As wonderful as that would be, the pragmatic side of me says no (the 72 Dolphins almost lost to the Colts) but this team…TEAM is as complete of a team as anyone could ever hope for…and we still have players out on injury. I really believe this season is the year other teams are going to look at their schedule, see they’re playing the Dolphins and be filled with dread. This is THE time to be a Dolphins fan.
You know who we looked like today? I don't know if you're old enough to remember this team, but the 2000 Rams. That team was unstoppable that year with Kurt Warner. Our offense reminds me of that offense and Achane...I know it's a bit premature...But the guy reminds me of Marshall Faulk.
A few of the runs today he had were truly special....not like, "He's a good player kind of thing," but like "This kid could be the next Barry Sanders." I remember a few analysts saying we may have got the steal of the draft when we grabbed him last year, and now I truly see why. With a few early blocks, he's truly lightning in a bottle. Sorry I didn't go with the whole "Fins suck" theme, but I'm a positive guy and this was a positive day. No need to tell the trolls that they're trolls on this Sunday. Bah, okay. Tua still can't throw the deep ball!
I can't believe it took Tua this long to have a 70 point game. And you know what? I bet he can't do this consistently. BUST!!!
This shows how much we rely on Waddle. With Hill injured it shows the passing scheme sucks unless we've got WR1 and WR2 fully healthy so Tua can throw to receivers who run themselves open.
Tua was also benched today. White, his replacement, put up a perfect passer rating, which shows how weak the opponent really was. Tua fell short even though he was given so many more opportunities.
Anybody can put 70 on the board with 0 sacks and lots of running lanes. How good would this team be if the OL was really bad? I mean, like really, really bad. And if our skill players were slow as mud, I bet we wouldn't have put up 70. Tua wouldn't be playing this well if his guys were dropping all of the balls, would he. That's right; with a rotten OL and slow guys with butterfingers running and catching the ball, we'd suck *ss. This team stinks because it wouldn't be good without good players on it.
I think Travis of the Tight Pants tweeted (Xed?) that he got to over 21 MPH on the 26 yard run. That acceleration is something special. Couple that with the elusiveness, vision, balance, and dare I say power that he also showed today. Fun time to be a Dolphin fan.
Well, I just thought about something that sort of ruined my mood. Stephen Ross was so hard-pressed to replace Tua that he tampered in his pursuit of Tom Brady and cost us a first-round draft pick. That pick would have given us another starter/contributor on this ridiculous roster. You can't have too much talent and you certainly cannot have too much talent on rookie deals.
It’s always amazed me how many GREAT players seem to want to play for the Jets… LaDamien Thomlinson Brett Favre Aaron Rodgers Dalvin Cook Those are the ones that come to mind…and how did their decisions pan out for them? The Jets are where NFL careers go to die.
That's an interesting what if to ponder whilst we wait for next weeks game. Who would we have drafted there? One of the TEs? I think maybe one or two tackles were still on the board at that point? Maybe they go D-Line and try to find Wilkins a replacement on the cheap? Maybe it's way less exciting and we just take Cam Smith or Achane earlier.
He had a 158.3 rating until he ruined it by throwing that 10 yard TD as his last play. Should be benched for that.
Grier is a fool. He can’t draft on OL to save his life. Plus we're regretting firing a real HC in Flores.
Grier needs to account for the fact that he's paying Jake Bailey $1.2 million and he has almost nothing to do. That came out to $72,500 per boot yesterday. An egregious amount for so little work.
