Thoughts for my dad...

He has had a mild heart attack , thankfully we got him to a hospital before it was a majot one. No sure how this is gonna work out and im worried as hell

Please spare some thought for him and if you want prayers

Just back from seeing him and he is up and about annoying the nurses. He had some surgery today and they reckon he will need a bypass or maybe a couple of stents (he already has one) will find out for sure tomorrow but it looks a lot more positive than earlier today

Thanks very much for your kind thoughts hopefully if/when he gets the surgery its as successful as the surgeon things it will be

 

Just back from visitng the hospital and he will get a triple bypass early next week. Spoke with the surgeon and he is confident it will resolve all the problems that he is having with is breathing. Seems 2 of his arteries were 85-90% blocked !!!!

He is in good spirits , chatting up the nurses and we will have him home for the weekend since there is no point in him being there when they wont operate till tuesday at the earliest.

He had his operation this morning and is now back in ICU as planned for 24/48 hours to make sure everything is in working order. So far everything going to plan.

Thanks once again for your kind thoughts and prayers , it is really appreciated that people who do not know me or my family IRL are thinking of us at this time. If i ever make it anywhere near where any of you guys stay I will be buying you beers.

 

Just back from seeing him today. Was up earlier this afternoon and he wasnt good , was still very heavily drugged and didnt recognise myself or my mum. Wasnt too good after that visit and had to go away do something for a while.

Went back up tonight and he is much better , trying to get out hsi bed so he can go for a walk and trying to laugh when we told him his m8s bowls team had lost as he wasnt in the team

Once again , thank you from everyone in my family for your thoughts and prayers. It really is comforting at this time Even told him I have people all over the world wishing him well and he smiled , probably also thought I was a bit insane too

 

Sorry for no updates in a while , he was really ill last weekend and although wasnt in any serious danger it was a long hard few days for the family. This week the difference has been amazing , from the depths of despair to the highs of getting him home just over an hour ago.

Still in a lot of pain , difficulties sleeping due to the chest wound that he has but he will get there eventually.

Once again I cannot that you enough for your kind thoughts and prayers. Will let you all know when he is better. May even try to get him to post on here

Still thinks in as mad as a box of frogs for all this "computer nonsense" but it gave him a laugh when I said people all over the world are thinking of you.

 

Well its not been a good few days. Up till last Friday he was doing really well , getting out for walks and looking nearly back to his old self. They stopped a couple of tablets and he went downhill very quickly and is now back in hospital

He has an infection in his lungs and fluid near his heart which hasnt helped with his breathing.

Thankfully he is doing much better today since they gave him some antibiotics and drained the fluid off so we should get him back out the hospital later in the week.

 

Well more good news Seems every time I post when im feeling down the old bugger goes and makes a huge step forward

They drained over 3 litres of fluid from his chest cavity tonight , no wonder he was struggling really badly and already he is looking a lot better.

Should get him home for Thursday or Friday when spend the few days after that watching then Open golf all day as planned
