That's what coach Dan Campbell said to a degree..
My question is how are we gonna keep this kid, continue to develop him?
Would you risk putting him on the PS?

Too bad he has me on ignore as he will never realize I posted this. -
Devlin is toast.

Devlin isn't toast.
Watching his college games and the things he's improved on from year one to year two I'm 200% sure he will develop into a strong backup in this league. If not a starter. He has the things you can't teach and he's improving on the things you can.Larry Little, smahtaz, dolfan32323 and 2 others like this. -

I was Dalton's biggest fan on this board, so my standard for comparing him to him is pretty high, I like the high release point, and I want him to get bigger and stronger, I think the next two games especially the last one will give us a clear indication as to what were gonna have to do with him, the last game he should get a lot of action.

When the cuts come, we're gonna find out just how serious the praise for both Pat Devlin and Chris Hogan was / is.

I don't see the comparison. IMO Romo's strongest skill is his ability to extend the play by eluding pass rushers behind the line when his protection breaks down. He's developed into a decent timing passer after struggling with that early in his career. While Devlin's biggest weakness is that he can't extend the play when things break down. He has always been a very good timing passer. Maybe they have similar personalities or other mannerisms, but I don't see the similarities in the style of play.

they'll keep him as the #3 behind Moore

labels like this are meaningless in the grand scheme of things....honestly, what exactly is a young tony romo and what does it equate to?
To the point of what is implied in the thread, yes, Devlin is the perfect #3 and in a season or two an eventual ship/flip QB. The question is really does Moore get shipped/flipped this year if Garrard is healthy? Some picks could be earned for Moore, but doubt any picks would equate to Garrard.
In the spirit of "leave the gun, take the cannolli's".....its Leave Garrard and ship off Moore for a pick this year. -

Well, look at this way., neither MMoore or Garrard will be here in 2013, barring injuries to THill
Devlin offers a cheaper options who will know the offense, with all our FA coming up in 2013 we'd better hope the truth is somewhere in the middle.
Keep in mind folks, this OL has lost a Qb to season ending injuries each of the last 3 yrs. -
