But...he was in the past...where presumably no one else had a cell phone...so who was he talking to? Not to mention at that time all phone calls were connected through an operator. And don't even get me started on the fact there were no cell phone towers, therefore he couldn't possibly have service.

Unless he had an iPhone. Because people who own one will tell you that yes, yes you can time travel with it and still make calls.

If you can time travel I would think that the reception problem wouldn't be nearly as big of a hurdle. And unless you think there is some rule that only one person is allowed to time travel they could be talking to another time traveler. Or he/she could be talking to somebody on a space ship in orbit. The possibilities are pretty much endless. Obviously the easiest explanation is just a crazy person talking into or to a small, dark, flat thing, but the arguments about reception or who is he/she talking are ridiculous.

Just how the guy in the video says, "Well, the only explanation we have is that this is a time-traveler and that's a cell phone" Really? That's the ONLY explanation you could come up with?

I don't think it will ever be possible. Besides the physics of it, you still have to deal with the human race and irresponsibility.

As soon as something is invented or discovered we'll find a way to **** all over it and use it for evil.
