People that wanna sign a vet to replace Lippett or McMillan, I have a genuine question. Do you think that the free agent market is better today or do you think that the market will be better after final cuts? I'm just curious.
There are always a few gems after final cuts, but it's very hard to cut a guy who just played their heart out for you over the past two months to make room for someone. I personally don't want to sign any veterans since we're headed for cap problems as it is.
you kind of protect yourself signing a guy now, the future is too uncertain. if you have to make another move then you do so
It'll obviously be better after final cuts. Some players are better in certain schemes so a player being cut doesn't mean he's a bad player always. I also think from a psychological standpoint, that if they have been cut, they are going to typically play harder for the team that picks them up as it's gotten very real for them from tasting adversity.
