http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/03/01/ranking-the-free-agents-offensive-interior-linemen/ Funny thing is, 2 of the 10 were Dolphins.
nothing funny about that, but I counted only one: #9. Richie Incognito, Miami Dolphins Age as of 1st September 2011: 28 2010 Grade: +4.1 Key Stat: Surrendered three penalties all year. Behind The Numbers: For once, Richie lived up his name and stayed incognito for most of the year, eliminating the disciplinary issues that had plagued his career. On the field he seemed to lose a bit of that aggressiveness that made him a pretty nasty run blocker, the result being an up-and-down season. can't believe they don't sign Incognito & Garner immediately
Ireland will not overpay, Garner could be a RFA, Incognito maybe wants a larger deal than he earned. Personally I'd keep Garner first, Richie I second, Garner can play literally anywhere on the Oline, Richie would be a RG (to bad John Jerry) or Center (to bad Joe Berger). BTW second player we had in Miami that is on that list..Evan Mathis, LG, was in Miami for 4 or 5 games in 08.
Garner is restricted, and don't see him going anywhere. I do agree on Incognito. I am so sick of changing the OL. I would bet that is Murtha, McQuiston, and Berger had played together every game, our OL would have been better. A little stability works wonders.
I disagree FellowMember SouthBeach: can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear: 2 journeymen linesmen & one that hasn't hit his mark yet. you want a nice suit? it starts with the right material
I'm telling it to you. it is what it is. no tailor would make a burlap suit, it's the wrong material won't wear well, doesn't work, not going to happen you need appropriate cloth or you waste your time if you want to argue that point, than so be it. having said that: we need pro-bowl potential, quality players to start on the offensive line not journeymen can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear or an elite offensive line out of inferior quality linesmen
