We definitely will look at cb, but I'm thinking maybe we pick one up in FA.

This draft is pretty deep at the position though so I wouldn't be shocked to see one in the 2nd/3rd/4th.

 

I like Trae Williams and Dejuan Tribble in the 3rd rounds if available. I think the first two picks go to several positions before CB. Maybe the 2nd second but probably the 3rd

 

CB is a must in the draft and one with speed would help looking at the WR's in AFC East.

 

I think we should look at getting a quality safety instead so we can move Jason Allen back to CB. But like Mrtree said, CB seems to be stacked so we could get one in later rounds.

 

I wouldn't be shocked to see Jack Ikegwuonu in the third.

 

Not sure, but I sure like his tools and style. This is my guy in the third round :hi5: if he is still there....

 

Not sure why we would do that. J Allen obviously wasn't working out at CB and did very well toward the end of the year at S. I rather us move renaldo hill to CB (where he used to play in oakland) or having both him and jason allen starting back there at safety.

 

I agree. Allen has shown much more promise at safety and I think his skill set is better suited there than at cb.

 

You can strike flowers right off that list after he showed the workd how thugged out he really is..wow..

 

If Terrance Wheatley of Colorado is there in the 3rd I would be all over him...I have been watching this guy all year and he just finds a way to make interceptions.

 

Antoine Cason of AZ would be a great addition for Miami. He just has an instinct for the ball, an interception hound. Probably won't be there when we need him though in the draft.

 

You have 9 possible Cornerbacks being drafted in the 1st round. There is no way that 1/3 of the first goes to drafting cornerbacks. Cut that to about 4 and then start pushing everyone back

 

If we are lucky aqib talib will be there with the #32 Pick i hope he is there if not i am pretty sure that Antoine Cason will be there this is a really good CB class we could pick up 2 Coner in the draft if we want

 

It's a very deep CB draft. My preferences are Rodgers-Cromartie, Godfrey, King, and Porter. I'm quite sure at least one of those will be available with our later 2nd rounder. And we need a young CB who can be a blanket guy for us and come up with big plays. If Rodgers-Cromartie can produce even half of his cousin Antonio's production, he'll be more than worth it.

 

I like Porter alot also. He was hurt in the bowl game right.? Do you know what the injury was? Is he alright?

 

Jason Allen just looks lost out there. He has made some plays but is out of position too many times. We gave up huge yardage against Cincy because he was out of position more than a few times. He is a step up from Cameron Worrell but just a bandaid for the safety position right now, just my opinion. If Bill can bring someone in to coach him to play that position then I'm all for it because he's a hell of an athlete.

 

It's listed as a foot injury and had to be helped off the field in the 1st quarter. Of course, in the 9 plays he missed, Oklahoma State scored 2 passing TD's (one to the guy I want to see in aqua and white, Adarius Bowman). But he came back though late in the 2nd quarter so I'd say he should be back in shape by the Combine.

 

I like Kalib, the 2 Jenkins and later on I like Cromartie and Lowery...one way or the other this is a year when you should NOT get a corner in free agency...you should draft one....oh btw, I like Cason too.

I think we can forget most of the Cb's slated for the top first round. That is unless a trade happens.

But since there are a ton of good NFL caliber Cb's in this draft and quite a lot projected to go in the 1st round. So it very well could be that one or more fall into the 2nd. Unless there is a Fred Davis or lets pray Otah might be there. I would take one of those two but if both are gone I would seriously consider taking one of the falling Cb's at that point.

So lets examine if they want to try and get a Cb with one of the two 2nd rounders they have. I love Trae Williams, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. I was hoping that both of them would slip into the 3rd but that's doubtful, and Cromartie's stock is going to rise higher, faster. He is an instant good fit for a zone defense but can also play man. He has the height to compete with the bigger Wr's and he has world class speed. He is fluid, and turns smooth without dropping low, and digging in on his first step off the turn. His two weaknesses are that he is to thin, and will have to bulk up some, and the other is that he is not an aggressive tackler. Improving his bulk, will give him a lot more confidence with tackling. He is/was my sleeper Cb for this draft because I watched a lot of his games, but it looks like everyone is taking notice early on. I'm not 100 percent sure if he got a combine invite but if he does his stock will be sky high.

Also Cromatie is one of those players that might actually run better with pads on...
