If they could get Flynn and Mario it would be a miracle but would be my dream FA.

I think Matt Flynn is a free agent worth considering. But you know what a lot of people are going to be looking at guys like Kyle Orton, Chad Henne and Jason Campbell as the next tier, I think we can assume Alex Smith is returning to the 49ers...yet what about David Garrard? Always underestimated, yeah the guy was injured and had to have surgery and so he couldn't sign on with anyone this year, but before that I had been thinking he may have as good a season as he's had. I think we saw with Blaine Gabbert taking over how little receiver talent that team has tried to get away with over the years. I think this is a guy that could find himself in the right situation and actually performing really well.

At Tight End, I think I would actually look at a guy we should be familiar with in Donald Lee purely as a #3 Tight End. Ultimately I'd want to draft to fill that spot, someone like Chase Ford would look great there. But you've got to bring in a few guys and then if you end up keeping 4 of them, so be it. Jacob Tamme is absolutely worth considering if Peyton Manning comes here. Daniel Fells made some really keen plays in Denver.

Anthony Collins is a really good Right Tackle prospect. The only other tackle I'd be that interested in would be Demetrius Bell but he could be expensive. Evan Mathis is a guard that should get some attention in free agency, for good reason, but that could make him expensive. I'd inquire anyway. I'd take a look at Steve Vallos. He could be a bargain as an interior OL. I really liked him in college, not surprise he keeps kicking around the NFL. Mike Brisiel is a guy that played at Houston when Mike Sherman was offensive coordinator. He may look at bringing him to Miami. I think Jeremy Zuttah is the last guard that I'd look at.

I think Michael Bush is an EXCELLENT free agent addition at tailback for whoever gets him. On the other hand your bargain basement guy at that tailback position could easily be Tashard Choice. Tim Hightower is still worth pursuing, IMO.

At receiver I think Early Doucet is a bargain guy you might take a look at. Maurice Stovall is a super bargain guy that is on the fringe but I suspect he's far better than that and just really needs a chance. I would take a look at him definitely. I hate to say it but a motivated Randy Moss trying out in New Orleans may turn out to be a great find, in the short run. I can't think that Lee Evans is completely done but maybe he is. Ruvell Martin is a guy that Joe Philbin might ask to bring in purely because of his familiarity with his system.

I don't know what the interest level is set to be on Mark Anderson...but he's worth a lot. I don't know what the interest level is set to be on John Abraham, but he's also worth a lot, though with less guaranteed money. I took a look at a lot of FA defensive ends and it's kind of a mean group. Believe it or not, Raheem Brock and Turk McBride might be worth looking at. Brock is older but still viable as a pass rush specialist especially if you know how to use him and coach him. Very athletic. Jarret Johnson is not a pure pass rusher but he's an excellent football player. He would be worth grabbing.

Curtis Lofton's situation in Atlanta is worth watching. He probably wants to be a three down guy but Atlanta views him as a two down guy. I would view him that way as well, but he's such a good two down guy that if he's so mad at them that he just breaks ties and doesn't even mind going to a team that also views him as a two down guy, then he's worth pursuing. Manny Lawson is a free agent and he did excellent work in Kevin Coyle's defense last year as a two down SAM linebacker. He would be competition for Koa Misi at that spot, I think. The Dolphins got some good work out of Marvin Mitchell and they would do well to see about having him back.

Rashean Mathis would be an interesting acquisition. He is 31 years old coming off an ACL tear. But guys with his talent aren't available for cheap unless there's a reason. The guy I would be all up on is Dimitri Patterson. I watched a fair amount of Browns defense this year and man this guy popped out all over the place. He was their nickel slot corner and he was GOOD at his job. He's kicked around the league a little bit as a UDFA out of Tuskegee in 2005...but this guy can MOVE and COVER. Seriously, based on what I saw of him at Cleveland this year, I wouldn't even have to think twice about phoning him up at the start of free agency to talk about taking Miami's nickel CB job. His problems seem to start and end when you try and make him a starter on the perimeter. Keep him doing what he's good at and you're golden.

Can't help but feel like Haruki Nakamura deserves a shot to try and make it on his own at a real free safety spot. You'll have some growing pains but he's learned all these years under Ed Reed, was a play maker in college, and that guy is a freaking ninja on special teams. I do believe that Reggie Nelson is worth pursuing if you think he's smart enough to be the signal caller. Mike Adams is worth taking a look at as well.

I'd like them to land Bennet, but who gives a sheit...I am so numb to the perplexing decision-making process that Ireland 4.0 is about to make that I would rather discuss the inferiority of Chinese sweet and sour soup noodles compared to Japanese Soba noodles......Feck!

If we do sign Manning then investing in Anthony Collins makes a lot of sense, keeping Manning clean will be critical. Collins would also increase the number of serviceable LT options on the roster in case Jake Long gets hurt again.
