I'm guessing Heath's Joker will be on a lot of these lists now. He's certainly on mine. And after watching Office Space last night I'd have to add Bill Lumbergh to it.
add Jimmy Stewart.. from Private to Captain in four years, more than 20 combat missions flying a B-17. Reached the rank of Brigadier General.
One of the best Villain performances I've ever seen was Daniel Day Lewis as "Bill The Butcher" in gangs of New York. That guy is an incredible actor. Other good Villain........ Denzel Washington-Training Day
Since this was brought back up, and my opinions seem to create controversy (lol) I'll add my thoughts: My favorite villains in no particular order: - The German Nihilists from Big Lebowski - Alan Richman(sp?) in Robin Hood - Christopher Walken in any movie, but especially Prophecy - Dustin Hoffman as Capt. Hook in Hook - Christopher Lloyd in Who Framed Roger Rabbit - Heath Ledger as the Joker - Daniel Day Lewis as Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York - Jackie Gleason as Minnesota Fats in the Hustler - Geoffrey Rush as Casanova Frankenstein in Mystery Men - Chris Sarandon & Christopher Guest as Prince Humperdink & Count Tyrone Rugen in The Princess Bride Some of the worst villains IMO, in no particular order: - Nuclear Man or whatever he was in Superman 4 - Jack Black in King Kong - Everyone except Danny Devito & Michelle Pfieffer in the older Batman movies (yes, even Jack) - The aliens from Independence Day - The asteroid from Armageddon - Hannibal Lecter - Russel Crowe in Virtuosity - Nick Nolte as Hulk's dad in Hulk - the eye/beast thing from Krull - the really bad guy gang from The Warriors
