LOL! Kiko requested a trade. I don't know why, but that has me laughing, LOL!

Kiko has been highly erratic and unreliable. He takes weird angles, and is a total disaster in pass coverage. However, he's still amazingly been one of the most productive turnover creators as a LB in recent Dolphins history. Five interceptions, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

Hopefully, Baker can pick up where he left off last season and pass those numbers quickly.

Have a feeling he won't be the only dolphin requesting a trade. Think you're going to see quite a few next year

I really like Kiko since he plays with a ton of intensity- he's the Jarvis Landry of the defense. Unfortunately though, there's really no natural fit in the new scheme and it would be better to trade him than flat-out cut him. I don't think Kiko makes the final 53.

Oh, we've been trying to shop him for weeks now....nobody is really interested.

LOL, I couldn't either....but you liked his passion and his fight (except when he was ACTUALLY fighting...which was a lot. Okay, Landry sucked as an example).

Kiko was somehow a turnover machine. I'd take one forced fumble and live with a couple missed tackles and poor pass coverage most of the time. That said, I'm sure Flores wants a level of consistency that Kiko just can't give, so parting ways is best.

No way. I'd rather have good coverage and no forced fumbles. One forced fumbles doesn't make up letting up maybe gains over you every time you're targeted...letting drives get extended, turning into points.

Same. I'd much rather rely on my DBs to create the turnovers. Maybe some forced fumbles on QB hits by the DL. But I want the LBs taking care of the run game and pass coverage.

One of the most selfish dolphins we ever had... i was so happy when we traded him, and to cleveland of all teams too... lots of hype on that team, got a feeling they win less than 8 games.

Well it would have been nice to keep him around in case of injuries since cutting him this year doesn't help us.

He became hopeless in pass coverage.

Awesome, I liked Kiko and I'm glad he left via trade to a potential contender. Maybe he earns us a 4th or 5th rounder comp pick.

A comp pick would be sweet! I would still be happy having the extra jack for a guy who fits our system better.

Trading a player does not net you a compensatory pick.

The Dolphins got Vince Biegel in return. 3rd year LB from Wisconsin. IMO, this is a shockingly good return for Kiko.

Thanks for the update. We didn't know about Biegel at the time we posted. Do you have high hopes for him in Flores's defense?

Should have been to no one's surprise, once the Dolphins acquired a real defensive coach, Alonso would be gone. Good riddance to a severe every down detriment to the defense.
