Haven't seen any mention of Samuda yet. Jerry is there, but not practicing yet apparently, sure he'll still be re-habbing his knee for a while yet. Problem is, a wide open fullback almost always looks good catching the football and turning up the field. They're all big and strong and once they get up to speed by virtue of them being open, they're pretty intimidating to tackle. Evan didn't really put on any moves or anything though. Remember when we had Marcel Reese in camp and our brain trust let him walk? That was awesome. Evan Mathis too.

true, my only frame of reference is him against lane, He looked a little quicker more balanced than lane, Lane has good hands, so does Rodriguez, both look similar in stature, both learning to block it seems.. Clay is making this team, do you think there's room for Lane or Rodriguez?.. Rodriguez has way more position flexibility considering he played tight end in college.

So many guys hurt it seems like. But not necessarily important players. I don't care if guys like Jorvorskie Lane, Kyle Miller and Julius Pruitt sit. I don't project them to make the team. I don't even really mind Jamar Taylor sitting because I figured him for a redshirt year anyway. I don't mind John Jerry sitting because I'd like to see Josh Samuda get more work at right guard. I do kind of mind Rishard Matthews sitting, especially at a time when both Hartline and Wallace were sitting, but then again I'd kind of like to see how deep the rabbit hole goes with Chad Bumphis. I don't ever like to see Randy Starks hurt, though. He's a real good player.
