Hey guys, I leave on January first for a two week study abroad class in Brazil. I will be with 20 classmates and our professor and we are going to visit many companies down there that are innovating in sustainability. I just wanted to see if any of you have been to São Paulo, or if anyone has any advice at all. Any places that I need to visit while I'm there? We don't get much extended free time, so long travel won't be an option. Anything I should pack? I was considering buying an extended battery for my iPhone for the plane ride, anyone used one of those, or have suggestions? Any other thoughts? Thanks!
Take a TON of pics of the local talent if possible, and post all of them here to get us poor married guys through the bitter jealousy
Anyone know if my phone will work down there? Like will I be able to text without an extra charge, or pull up maps, email, etc? Phone calls? I have Verizon.
typically data will work if you have a world phone and world plan. most likely no texts and calls without a huge cost. buy a magic jack and a s cheap corded phone and use that. anywhere you have an internet connection, you have a phone to call the us and canada. thats what i use. it's 20 a year for it. actually, i think they have one now that doesnt require an internet connection. www.magicjack.com
