When did this happen?

I didn't see it, but I'm glad to see him go. Now the coaches can't put his sorry butt onto the field any longer.

I've got no idea why people are happy to see Trusnik going, or what they were looking at when they thought he was a bad player. Especially a backup.

Was a good ST player, that's about it.

The guy was a quality special teams player, always has been. It's why we brought him here too IIRC. He's also a good quality depth/backup guy. I'm not sure what you're looking for in a depth/special teams player, but he's exactly that, and he filled that role beyond well here. Guys like him are key. But, ok. -
How can a person be considered a "quality" back-up if when put on the field they almost immediately show themselves as a liability?
The guy just doesn't have the physical ability to be a solid LB and thus he has no part of a team that is trying to make strides to get better. I think it's more likely that having guys like Trusnik on the roster was part of why the Dolphins were often mediocre.
He was depth for a reason...so good luck in Carolina.
