I love it. And not because we need to replace Denny - we don't - but because it gives us another reason to keep Trusnik around, I love gamers like him and would love to see him stick around for some time.
Plus if Trusnik can prove he is capable of LS duties it will free up a roster spot since he looks like he will make the team this year anyway.

Did I mention how much I love this idea? lol

But... but... Denney...

I love Denny too, does a great job, but roster spots are always at a premium. And Trusnik needs to show he can do the job effectively for this to be considered.

More efficient use of space on the roster. Hope he makes it, 'cause Denney isn't very impressive at DE.
Denney can always hustle money down on the hardcourts making half-court trick shots with his snapping prowess...dolfan32323 likes this. -
Well they need a new backup since Jason Taylor was the backup long snapper I do believe.

Do most other teams have guys like Denney or guys like Trusnik?

Trusnik's performance in the first game was more impressive than some of the starters on defense imo ... he keeps that up he won't have to worry about needing to know everything on special teams

We have perhaps the best long snapper in the NFL already on the team. Problem is, he is a starter and does not want to do it again. He long snapped as a true freshman at a LARGE division one college, he long snapped in a pinch for another NFL team and he can kick anyones assss long snapping. I can see his point though. He is a starter and does not get paid anything extra for long snapping. Honest and really, one of the best around but If they do not want to pay him extra, why the phuk even bother. I know, hammer on the post, Do it for the team, do it for the fans do it for yada yadda ya. Screw that, no one on this board will do extra work for free, neither will he.
