I had the hardest time trying to piggy back my 360 off my wireless connected Vista laptop also (at my Ex's house)... LOL

Well you really need to get it working so we can play NCAA. I hate dealing with that stuff tho

What's your connection type, cable or DSL? Might try to reboot a cable modem to refresh , repair connections on the laptop, and then running a connection test on the 360.Last edited: Aug 4, 2008BuckeyeKing likes this. -
It's not the 360, it's the confusing F'n Vista screens... Once you do it, it's not confusing at all. Everyone is just so used to how XP worked.
Just find your network connections, right-click and go to properties. Select the option to share your internet connection.BuckeyeKing likes this. -

Yeah finally got it to work. I already had the connections boxed in before I tried to go live all I did was deselect the boxes in properties and then reselected them. IT finally worked, downloaded a Roster so I have all the player names :D.
Probably get live soon. -
Just skip a game or 2 and get the wireless adapter.

Yeah its fine now it works perfectly. Glad I didn't waste 100 bucks for a wireless adapter.

Edit-Also once you get live you might have some lag issue, IDK. I have a buddy that was trying to play Halo 3 off his laptop and it had a BRUTAL lag, he was a ways from his router though.Last edited: Aug 4, 2008BuckeyeKing likes this. -

I use the original xbox adapter and it works fine. Only difference is it needs an external powersource whereas the 360's doesn't.
