He looks really solid, but not totally dangerous.

I would not want the ball in his hands with space. He has the ability to make something happen.

I just saw the all 22 angle on the waddle bomb dime, angle that’s in front of the Los

Tua throws the ball with just peripheral vision to waddle while waddle is at the 20 yard line, waddle does not even know the ball is in the air, and he catches it at the 50, that’s some Majic **** man, you’ve got to see it from the front side angle on all 22, the anticipation and accuracy is not something I’ve seen to this level, this is special and some folks are running saying he didn’t play his best

Wtf man he missed a few throws who the **** doesn’t.

Tired of this freakin narrative even with our own fans

Dude is doing special things, don’t fall into the trap of not slowing the reps down to watch what he’s actually doing after the snap that noone else is

Sorry if I’m being a bit redundant but the fact that nooone talks about how he’s doing this with 4/5ths of his line out is just the icing in the cake

Freaking dude doesn’t even need a line to protect him cause he does it all faster deeper and more accurately than anyone in the game

The dude is throwing 55 yards no looks bombs, yup

I keep on saying this because I find it amazing. I am not shocked when a 40+ yard ball is not completed. Like, shocked. He throws one of the best deep balls I have ever seen.

Agreed, so need to contain him. I don't really want any speedy WR running across the defense without any restrictions. We have seen that too many times this year.

only 700 yards for the season.

They don’t throw for a lot of yards, Lamar has 6 games under 200 yards. How that equates to MVP is a struggle in my mind.

There has been 1 throw all season that I can remember being shocked at when Tua went deep to Waddle and completely overthrew him (turns out it was a miscommunication). It seems like every other deep throw if the receiver runs the right route and doesn’t slow down (like Achane) then the ball hits them in the hands every time whether it’s 30, 40 or 50 yards downfield.

I watch other QB’s overthrow guys by 10 yards and give their receiver no shot at catching the ball yet Tua’s deep ball is nearly always catchable.

If you look purely at stats, wins, etc…common sense would dictate Tua’s MVP win but seeing how the NFL is evolving into the WWF, it’s not going to come down to stats and wins…it’s going to come down to the Super Bowl.

The ONLY WAY Tua is going to win league MVP is if the Dolphins win the Super Bowl.

MVP has nothing to do with the playoffs. If Tua closes out the year with two wins, a one seed, and plays great then he is the MVP.

He will deserve it but I don't think he will get it. I always thought the narrative would be in his favor because its such a good story but the media just doesn't want it to be him.

Tua won't win MVP this season because too many people attribute his success to Hill. It's also the convenient reason why Hill was never a real candidate for MVP ("gimmicky" offense and Tua on the same team making him better). It's the opposite of what's being said about San Francisco, where CMC and Purdy were both MVP front runners until Monday night's debacle, which removed Purdy from the discussion.

If we beat Baltimore, Tua plays well and Jackson doesn't, Tua will probably be at the top of the MVP voting list. Who leads MVP odds has been constantly shifting this year, so I wouldn't count Tua out as long as he finishes strong.

I agree, but I know how the league has evolved. The narrative has gone from being THE most valuable player in the league…what you have done for your team to if you don’t win it all, you suck.

Tua has demonstrated clearly he is the league’s MVP and as much as I think he deserves it, he’ll be overlooked for one of the league’s sweethearts.

Is Tua perfect? Nah. Is he great? Not until he accomplishes something great. But if you think any of his less impressive attributes outweighs how good he is, you're delusional and probably a fundamentally unserious individual. How many plays like the following does he have to make to excite even his haters?

MVP is voted on by a lot of the media so Tua had no shot this season anyway. You just need to listen to James Jones on Speak when he said "The MVP is Lamar "Action" Jackson or Josh Allen. I don't care what Tua does this season, he's not MVP.". It seems that MVP is only about making flashy, highlight plays at QB.

This is Josh Allen "dragging" his team into the playoffs btw...

The Bills are 4-4 this season when Allen posts a rating under 92. They were 5-2 last season.

For some context when Tua posts a rating under 92.
    2023 - 1-4
    2022 - 0-4
    2021 - 3-3
    2020 - 3-3

Tua has 9 games under a 92 rating in the last 2 seasons and the Dolphins are 1-8. Meanwhile superstar Josh Allen has delivered 15 games in the last 2 seasons with ratings under 92 yet the Bills are 9-6 in those games. Tell me again what MVP stands for? If Tua doesn't post an above average rating then the Dolphins lose.

The only way Tua ever wins a MVP is if the Dolphins win a Super Bowl the previous season to try and change the media narrative. These guys are so dug in on their takes that they will refuse to change them until them.

Josh Allen has 42 TD's on the season, not 50 and it's because he cannibalises all the short yard TD scenario's for his team. He has 15 rushing TD's while the running backs have 7 between them.

Are you implying Allen is not good? Only using the passing rating and yet ignoring his rushing in those same games?

Look at Vegas odds, not what some commentator says. Vegas odds for MVP are:
    https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/mvp/

    -6000 to -20000 Lamar Jackson
    +1600 to +3000 Dak Prescott
    +2200 to +4000 Brock Purdy
    +2500 to +3500 Josh Allen

MVP right now isn't a contest between Jackson and Allen, or for that matter anyone else. It's just Jackson.

I don't recall ever seeing an MVP lead the league in turnovers.

I’m implying he’s not dragging his team into the playoffs, it’s much more of a team effort and he’s getting the credit. He’s been pretty poor at the QB job of dropping back, reading the defence and passing to a receiver. He’s been great at QB sneaks down on the goal line though to steal TD’s away from his running backs.

I’m wondering if he’s carrying an injury as he passing numbers in 3 of the last 4 weeks would have StaleTaco’s posting every week if Tua was putting up those numbers.

Tua has really let himself go while this season has progressed, very disappointing imo

Yeah, Sam Howell has more turnovers (21) than Allen (19)... and Tua (17) is close to Allen, but context does matter. Tua has 4 less INT's than Allen. The fumbles is where the gap closes. However, Tua has been attributed with fumbles that in reality were not his fault. For example, the shotgun snap during the Dallas game that literally rolled to him, he picked up, and then completed for around a 20 yard pass was called a fumble on Tua. The numerous bad snaps this season have been all "fumbles" for Tua. Allen fumbles because he's careless with the ball.

Saying that, 12 INT's for Tua is too much. He's pressed in a lot of games and needs to clean that up. I don't think Tua is MVP. I don't think Allen is MVP. I don't think LJ is MVP, but he's more deserving than Allen and Tua.

IMO, here are my top 10 candidates:

    Purdy
    CMC
    Prescott
    LJ
    Tua
    Stroud
    Mahomes
    Allen
    Goff
    Tyreek

You brought up Mahomes's turnovers over the past two years a few post back. That's what I was responding to. We can split hairs all day. This year, last year, five years whatever you want to break down but Josh Allen turns the ball over way too much for me to consider him an MVP. But you're entitled to your opinion if you think he deserves it.
