Seems like a drawn out process if you ask me.. I don't understand what he needs to consider, make the damn decision already so either team can move on to the next candidate.

There's a lot to consider actually. He has family and he needs to figure out a staff and everything. It takes time to make this kind of decision. Big changes.

With that said, I still feel we're the better situation and hopefully Fisher agrees.

It's possible, but it's still a major decision and he probably just wants time to think it over clearly and talk to his family and friends about it.

Why should he rush, he holds all the cards.

And as rocky says, you need to consider your family, check on the school systems, areas you may want to live.

I have no problem with this, in fact I thought it would be after the Super Bowl before we hired someone.

Rash decisions lead to regrets. I don't think there's anything more to read into it.

I'd pick the Rams for the following reasons:

    1. Sam Bradford. He had a bad 2011, but he's a stud.
    2. Low expectations in St. Louis. They have sucked longer and harder than us. He'll be a God if they go 8-8.
    3. The NFC West is weak.
    4. The AFC East has New England. Good luck winning the division when the Pats have done it 11 out of the past 13 years!!!

I'd pick the Dolphins for the following reasons:
    1. Miami has a better roster from top to bottom.
    2. Miami is sunny and nice.

The Rams are gonna get him.

    Here and there
I disagree with the Rams #2 and #4.

Low expectations, really? I beleive they have won a SB far more recently than Miami and although they are not in good shape now expectations shouldnt be any lower than any other owner or fan base, the super bowl plain and simple.

I dont believe for a second any coach worth a dam is gonna shy away from NE and BB, and if he does he's already a loser not worth having.

And to add to that I dont believe Fisher is the kind of coach to shy away from a challenge, if he chooses St. Louis over Miami it wont be because of those two reasons IMHO.

Also disagree with point #2, both franchises are pretty much a joke at this point.

the one point you missed. The Rams have a sweet #2 pick in the draft. that's a premier player Fisher can start off with.

I think that other than QB that Miami has a more talented roster than St. Louis so that would be a factor that would favor Miami for me. It would also depend on if I felt I could get a QB in Miami. I like Bradford, but I'm not sure if I would say he is more talented than Tyler Wilson, Tannehill or Weedon. I have Bradford above Flynn in terms of upside and ability to work in more systems, but I think it's close enough that in the right system, Flynn could be as successful.

My guess is still that Fisher goes to St. Louis, but who knows.

I have a strange vibe about Jeff Fisher not to be happy coaching the Dolphins or the Rams, I would not be surprise if at the end, he decide not to coach this year...

You keep telling yourself that. This is the 4th time in the last 8 years we've had a top 10 pick, including a #1 and #2. that's a joke.
Our wildcat season is the only thing keeping us from being the worst team in the NFL over the past 8 years.

The Rams have been equally as bad: 3 out of 8 1st round picks in top 10. I could maybe give them a slight edge is loser-tude because they have had #1 and two #2s.

If any coach decides to got to an easier division, shouldn't be in the game. Anyone who is competitive won't dodge a team, even if they are the Patriots, and if they do, I really don't want them. If you all have forgotten, We Always give Brady a Hard time, yeah we have lost twice this year, but Brady has said we a hard team to beat... Last game we were kickin' his arse, but we didn't adjust to there adjustment, and that's due to bad coaching. That's were Fishers comes into play.

I like everyone else here is biased, but being objective, I think of the two franchises, Miami would be the better option of the two for Fisher.

San Francisco has been reborn as the powerhouse of the NFC West and unless Jim Harbaugh undergoes a sophomore jinx next season, Frisco will be difficult to compete against. Then there's Seattle....they're difficult to predict.

In the AFC East, Miami's only TRUE competition are the Patriots, but even that team is showing its weaknesses...and they aren't going to be able to rely on Brady forever. The Jets? JOKE. The Bills? :sidelol:

Fisher could come to Miami and within the first couple of seasons, be vying for the division and looking to make deep runs in the playoffs. Fisher is still hungry. He wants that Super Bowl title that he missed out on by one yard and I think he wants redemption.

I really think Miami gives him that opportunity more than St Louis would.

The Rams suck much more than the Dolphins. We won the division just a few years ago. To prove how crappy they've been, consider where they've drafted in the past 5 years:

    2012: 2
    2011: 14
    2010: 1
    2009: 2
    2008: 2

In 4 out of the past 5 years, they've either been the worst or second-worst team in the NFL!!!!!!!!!

And we've been world beaters? Save the season where Brady went down and the flash-in-the-pan wildcat success, we haven't been much better.
Both franchises suck right now. Trying to figure out which franchise sucks more is splitting hairs.

And to play devils advocate on that, with all those high draft choices, what If Fisher thinks (As all coaches do), I can make them better, I can bring the best out of them? Remember, they are a very young team, I think they were ranked 28th in the league in age (being 4 teams younger)

And we have faired better. In 5 years Rams have 15 wins, in two medoicre bad seasons for the Dolphins they had 14.

See you have to go back 8 years to make Dolphins as big of a joke. When looking at the jokitude of a franchise what is the point of going past five? The players change way to much for a coach to care.

Rams have a HUGE edge in suckitude, because not only are they a MUCH worse team than Miami they are in a division where a poor joke of a Dolphin team could have won 3 of the last 4 years.

While the Dolphins are clearly better on the field, I don't think the Rams have the same FO problems the Dolphins do.
Again, I just think it's pretty much awash. Gun to my head and I had to pick the better franchise, I'd go with Dolphins. But it's no landslide.
