Tony Sparano: Reggie Bush as punt returner is something we will look at situationally. He's not there on depth chart.

Devlin is not seeing as many reps as he had been seeing.

Yes, really, we have heard that crap for 4 yrs now, the fact is with the Sparanophins what we see in the preseason is how they play early in the yr, no need to blame the missed practices for doing what he does naturally, that was weak on his part.

Well, hopefully our 2's and 3's beat their 2's and 3's, as if one looks back at 08 we had a great preseason, in 09-10 we were mediocre and the team was mediocre to start the season, though really Sparano's September Record is not very good either.

Which, in my opinion, is why Stephen Ross should have axed him the day after the Patriots game. I just don't think he's a good coach. What happened to "we've got a plan for every scenario."?

Disagree, I think Sparano is a good Coach, as evidenced by our #1 or #2 least penalized ranking with such a young team the last 2 yrs.
I see some weaknesses in his game though, imo he plans for what he thinks is every possibility and when something happens outside of what those plans cover he does not have the instincts to effectively adjust to the situation, a "plan" is no substitute for "thinking on the move".

I think Sparano has no clue as a coach,as evidenced by calling time outs at the most
inopportune times season after season.How many screw ups before he gets it.
He's been in football all his life and still seems lost regarding timeouts

You judge a coach by wins and losses, not how many penalties his team draws.

Disagree, the first sign of a good coach is penalties the team draws, the next sign is developing players, the third sign, which Sparano has not done, is beating the teams you should beat, the 4th sign is beating teams consistently that are better then you are on paper.

You place fewer penalties as a higher priority and better indication of a coach than wins / losses? I can assure you, you're alone on that. I bet no coach in the history of the game has been hired, or fired for that matter on the basis of penalties more so than his win / loss record.

Someone memo Coach and tell him practices do not mean a damn thing anyway so he should lose the crutch.
The coaching staff was so bad last year that I think the players will probably be better the less time the coaches have to screw them up. lol.
Heck, they can't overthink everything and overcriticize this way. I, for one, am THRILLED Sparano hasn;t had time to micromanage everything.
Never thought I'd say that, but last year Henne especially seemed to get too into his own head and stopped 'just playing'.. seemed to triple-think everything out there and hesitate constantly thanks to all the overcoaching, constant critiquing and being yelled at.
Maybe the hands-off approach will yield better, though unintentional, results.

Imo the time off will benefit guys like Big Jake and Garner the most Bpk, imo they push them to hard to come back from injuries to participate in OTA's and all of that stuff.
What bothered me about the whining about practices is what you hit on to a "T", as if one more Oklahoma Drill is going to make all of the difference...

I'm sorry, but, what? You judge a team by their record, and he's 14-16 the past two years.
He's also failed to develop a quarterback to this point; he's also 0-6 down the stretch the last two years when Miami was in playoff contention, and he's not done well against top tier teams. The O-line has gotten worse each year, as have the special teams. We've burned through 1 coordinator on offense, defense, and special teams in his 3 year tenure. I think the buck stops at him this year; thankfully.
