IIRC, Dansby came to Henne's side when the whole "we want Orton" chants became a big story. And secondly, if our defense dictates how hard they play based on who the QB is, I don't want them on my team. Thankfully, I know they'll play hard regardless.
Greg Benjamin (former OTC Draft draftnik) told me that Bush was an excellent leader on the field and off the field. He said that Bush had one of the best work ethics while playing for the Saints and was a huge community guy. Basically said that a quality locker room and community guy is the best way to describe Bush's work ethic. Greg is an extremely knowledgeable Saints fan so I take his word seriously when it comes to that type of stuff.
Wouldn't that be nice, Heisman trophy winner at 26, considered by some as the best college football player they ever seen, with a chip on his shoulder, gets truly serious about his game.. And all the folks who pissed on the signing and did nothing but criticize and not leave room in their projection for were talking about, will eat their crow.
It wouldn't be the first time...Chad Pennington, Cameron Wake, etc. That's not even taking into account the UDFA, late round picks that have excelled here. Those are the guys that have been cut from other teams.
maybe my eyes are off but it looks like he's leaned up a bit and is in tremendous shape...... almost looking more like a big OLB than a DE.
What--- You don't think it's smart to hand the team over to a guy who had a worse 2010 season than Henne? lol. j/k Aqua.
Maybe that's part of the problem.... that you have guys who do nothing but run their mouth like Crowder saying he never believed in him.
What Crowder said was "I played next to him, and he has the tools but not the intangiables" Not "Henne sux!" Crowder is a lot like many fans even here, Henne has to show them that he can do it, before Crowder, or half of the Dolphins fans believe it. I'm not quite in that camp, I'm in the middle on Henne, I think he will turn the corner, I think it is foolish of Sparano to be everything on him doing so.
To be fair, he had his Heisman taken away from him DJ. J/k, but in all seriousness, there were many, including myself who wanted Ahmad Bradshaw. Many opposed the idea saying he was injured too often. Bush has missed 16 games the past 3 seasons and said himself that his knee is pretty wrecked. I hope it's not a Brandon Roy situation like with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Makes sense to me too, but it is more fun for the anti-Henne crowd to find as many things as possible to blame him for.
Is he the dude who's user name is SaintGreg? That guy I recall having some good draft info on the internet way back 15 years ago when I first started going online.
Yes sir. He still goes to the Senior Bowl most years but I don't think he has the time to keep up with the website anymore.
In those days, there like two draft sites worth even bothering with reading, Greg's, and Scott Wright's site. They were the pioneers or trail blazers when it comes to online draft sites, IMO.
