Nothing on roster fixes besides granting Lord Favre his numbers.

 

Essentially stating Madden 2010 is just a comprehensive patch for 2009.

 

Atleast their fixing progression.

 

Now if only they could make scat backs not be able to run over 4 defenders in a row....

From what I have seen running is really hard

 

I remain convinced that the Madden team has no clue about how football really works.

thats good news. glad progression, and the field degradation is getting fixed, along with the CPU running out of bounds stuff. I dont play online, too much crap to deal with i found, but those few issues here are some of the ones that were bugging me about this game.

hopefully it gets out to us pretty quickly

 

Oh my God are they being serious by saying that patches hurt the next year's game. Two things strike me about that statement and first is that EA is admitting that each Madden is just one big patch and second EA is the biggest game developer right now and your telling me they don't have the programmers to make a patch. How about spending some money to hire new programmers if you do need more.

Okay actually I lied one more thing struck me about this and that is that when you have to have 18 patches and that still doesn't fix all the problems then yes you put out one big steaming pile of crap. Plus I didn't see anything about lag online. I played a League game last night and it was pathetic. :pity:

They are to busy using the $$$ on Tiger Woods so he can make goofy internet commercials making fun of their incompetence.

 

As a side note.....

IF they have really fixed the issues with progression and regression as well (no 40 yr old 99 QBs) then I might go ahead and pick this up whenever GS has a used game sale like buy 2 get 1 free or a coupon.

 

If you download the Patch when its avaliable, im guessing you will have to restart your franchise to see the effects of progression?

Actually I think the game runs smoother online than past years games. Your always going to have lag with some people no matter what.

 

Yeah, I've had the game run very smooth when playing you, Skeet84, Firesole, and a few others... But there's one guy I play games online with that it's always laggy...

On a side note, I'm gonna try to sign up for that Madden league ASAP, my buddy is borrowing my copy (he lives next door) to see if he wants to buy it or not...

 

That is something that I will not accept neither should anyone else. I played Madden 03 on Dial-Up for the PS2 and I swear (which I am being thoroughly sincere about) it didn't lag like this game does. I also played Madden 07 on broadband for the PS2 and it worked like a dream. Also it wasn't just me lagging but so was Get Up and Go my opponent in the game. The punting was so bad that we both kicked I believe 3 times and barely got them off or they soard out of bounds when the kicking stick froze after about 10-20 yards.

Its unacceptable that any big name game can lag this much when I have no problems with any other PS3 game I play online. Pathetic on EA's part really.

This game lags way less than every other big name game out there on the 360. I've expereinced way more lag with Gears of War, COD4, Rainbow 6, (I don't play Halo, but I'd be willing to bet there is lag on there too). Lag is just a part of the internet. If you make sure you play opponents with similar connections and also in similar locations you won't have lag problems. It's not EA's fault. They can't fix the whole entire internet for you.

 

Neither. My connection shows no problems on any other online game I've tried. Which included MGS4, Motorstorm, Team Fortress 2 (which is notorious for lagging etc because of the Valve/PS3 feud), COD4, Grid, Battlefield: Bad Company, GTAIV, and countless online enabled demos. So my connections isn't the problem. Also I want say I'm being too critical but I have played only one game online. :shifty:

This may be a PS3 problem then since EA is too lazy to properly code fore the PS3. Also I'm not saying games don't lag but this lags at an extensive level, which to me is unacceptable for a game such as this but so is only 720p being supported on the PS3 where full 1080p is on the 360.

 

I've never lagged in gta 4 or mlb (unless playing someone with a bad connection ie. ppl from asia).

Madden is so Dependant on seamless play. It doesn't have it.

i just beat the Patsies with the Dolphins in my season on All-Pro. Yeah....I'm proud of myself...so what?!

 

beat the Iggles in the Superbowl 24-3. finished my season on all-pro with the Phins. (14-2). Ronnie Brown won league mvp with 1500 yds and 22 tds. also put Roth and Will Allen in the pro-bowl. i was surprised how well i did on all-pro level, i've always just played on pro. thanks for caring.:(

 

Did this patch ever get released? Don't even feel like turning on my PS3.

I just turned on my game, hoping to get this patch, because I want to be able to edit my players in franchise and still see them progress.

Also wanted to download the updated rosters with Pennington on the Dolphins roster, but they haven't updated that either ... I was hoping to start my franchise with tomorrow's game.

EA sucks.

 

Yeah, getting a patch and a roster update out by the first Sunday of the season appears to be impossible for these guys. :pity:

That was what I had heard as well ... but no dice. I too was looking forward to having Chad on the team, as well as hoping they'd boost Grigsby's rating and add Bess ...

My day has been somewhat fruitful, I finally figured out how to make my EASportsWorld avatar in Madden.

This is the first time that I've bought Madden since it went next-gen. It will also be the last.

 

Man Ronnie got 1500 in game 9 for me...with 30 + tds.

Then again Ive got every madden since 93. But I never had any of the problems you guys are having..

 

its supposed to be out tomorrow morning before the games...fasano and henne both got 2 added to their overall....

hopefully its out tomorrow. they sent the update to ms today, i think. thats what they are saying atleast
