There are plenty of affordable names in this upcoming free agent class that we could potentially replace Hill with. I'm not saying that these guys will be as good as Hill, but some are legit speed/deep threats like Hill and they really don't come with much of a distraction.

TuTu Atwell, Darius Slayton, Zay Jones, Marquis Brown, Elijah Moore, Amari Cooper, Diontae Johnson.

You want reliable guys that can be a safety option for Tua?
Mike Williams, Tyler Boyd, Keenan Allen, Nick Westbrook, Scotty Miller.

All viable options, but we need a healthy quarterback that can throw the ball.

I'm not worried about receiving shortcomings in 2025. Tua and McDaniel showed they could get it done without much impact from Hill. Waddle, Achane, Smith etc plus whomever they add will be enough. Just get rid of the malignant players like Hill

That is a lot of JAGs, injury prone, and hard nopes. We seriously want to replace Hill with Diontae Johnson? If you want malcontents and locker room poison just keep the one you have lol.

I'd definitely be looking to add size though, I've had enough of the midget squad.

Edit: One thing I think we need to focus on is blocking, btw. Good running teams dont' just feature RBs and OL, they have WR's that can and do block at a high level consistently.

That is one reason i would love to get Higbee. He can block and he can catch. https://www.si.com/nfl/rams/news/ra...arting-to-look-like-his-old-self-01jgy36d3np9

    Say what?

I think you are severely underestimating the effect of Tyreek Hill.

It seems Tyreek was either hurt or quit on this team most of the season. For as great as Tyreek has been, he’s dropped numerous costly catches in some very big games. Most defense are scared of him for speed reasons. Malik, Waddle, and Achane, in my opinion, would be just as worrying to teams as Tyreek, Waddle, and Achane. None are as fast as Tyreek, but at this stage in Tyreek’s career, they’re darn close… and Waddle and/or Achane may actually be slighter faster.

Waddle and Achane are not as fast or faster than hill. Not even at this point in Hill's career.

Fun fact... Tyreek Hill fathered more children this year than had TDs.

I assume you have some tape of them racing?
Tyreek is less than 3 months away from being 31 years old. It’s possible that he can still run a sub 4.3 40, but that’s a big assumption. We know that Achane ran a 4.32 2 years ago. Waddle (supposedly) ran a 4.37 4 years ago. Tyreek ran a 4.29 8 years ago. You’re implying that there’s no way Tyreek hasn’t slowed .03 seconds? OK.

Nah. I think Waddle can take over the role of Hill. He's being paid like a top guy so time to prove it. With Achane and Smith filling in mid and underneath routes. I also like the two Washington wide outs that we have. We'll just need one more WR/TE to fill out the receiving roster

I mean, this season didn't demonstrate that. Maybe jettisoning Hill will make the offense better, maybe, but I don't think that will be the case.

    But you could be right.

We watched Achane get caught from behind last game, which really surprised me.

To be fair, the safety made a desperate lunge and managed to clip his foot, which made him falter and slow, trying to stay on his feet. If he didn't get clipped, he'd have been off to the races before the other DB got near him.

Yeah I was just surprised that the safety was able to catch up enough to do that.

Achane was tripped up and the defender that caught him was running full speed. I’ve seen Hill get caught from behind a few times last year and this year.

The guy who tripped him up, not the guy who tackled him.

I'm not making any comments on Hill, just to be clear.

Achane wasn’t close to full speed when he was tripped up. He was coming out of his route and turning up field. At first I was shocked too, then on replay I realized that Achane was slowed down and the tackler was already at top speed. Achane would have had to of gone from almost falling to full speed in 1 step. Not going to happen.

The guy before him tripped him up letting him "catch up". The difference in speed can be just one step sometimes.

    Pick your poison, pure speculation...

One of the contending teams for the Chiefs throne is going to lose this weekend. Would either Buffalo or Baltimore view Hill as a missing piece once their season ends?

Would the Dolphins be interested in trading him within the conference or division? What would it take for you to make a move like this, knowing you'll be facing him between 1 or 2 times this upcoming season?

If we trade Hill I would not even think of sending him to Buffalo. I want to see him rot in Cleveland if he asks for a trade but a likely landing spot might be a team like SF or Dallas.

Trading him out of the conference would be ideal but you may not get the best offer from those teams. Depends on how close they feel they are to winning division titles.

I can see KC coming back into the mix for Hill. I would never trade Tyreek to the Bills. I’m not sure if Tyreek would last on the Ravens. They seem to be pretty selfless. A trait he doesn’t have.

Can't beat either now. Take best offer. Any trade with them for a 2, is really more like an early 3

Lmao… yeah, if you think you can’t beat a team (even though the Dolphins have beaten both fairly recently) trading to that team one of your best players, a player voted best in the league by his peers is smart. For a “high 3rd” at that.

    Makes sense…

We did that with Wes Welker and it bit us in the a$$ for years. If someone thinks it's OK to trade your best player to the division rival you're trying to catch they probably ate lead paint chips when they were a kid.

We’re not going to get higher than a 3rd round pick for Hill and here’s why.

If we trade Hill ahead of June 1st, the Dolphins are going to be on the hook for $28 million in cap space. No one in their right mind would pay a player $28 million to play against them. That’s stupid.

If we trade him after the June 1st, Miami will only be on the hook for $12 million. Now with that being said, no one is going to give up a 2nd rounder for Hill for the 2026 draft when Hill is already 31 now…32/33 in 2026. They’re going to want to keep that pick.

I could see the Ravens, especially if they don’t win a SB this year, offering a 2nd round pick for Tyreek. I could also see KC offering that.
I would hate to see him go to either place. And most definitely not the Bills.

Training Camp: What We Learned from 'Back Together Weekend' Sunday

"Speaking of speed, the debate over who the fastest Miami Dolphins player is rages on, going on two-plus years now. And Tyreek Hill doesn't appear to be ready to hand over fastest-man honors to Jaylen Waddle or any of his other Dolphins teammates. Although some of it is shrouded in mystery, Hill and Waddle are believed to have raced multiple times. Former Dolphins WR Robbie Chosen recently revealed that Waddle actually beat Hill in their most recent race, although Hill attempted to clear the air on that with some context."
Despite that, Hill runs routes faster, which is what really matters. At least he did until this year. He seemed off most of the year to me.

Caught after stumbling after having his leg chopped by a diving defender (Brandon Echols who ran a 4.36 or 4.34 at the combine). Waddle should have made that block.
