Good for you. Had a bunch of friends go there and they loved it. One of the biggest colleges in the country, student wise. I just finished up at Florida State, i miss it already.

I went to UNLV, but college life was the best time of my life. Enjoy it, it goes by fast, trust me

When I left UCF in 98'... It was a completely different place than it is today. Great school, tons of fun. Oh, and Frats are a waste of time, there's 40,000 students at UCF, don't pay a fortune every semester to have only a few friends.

There's more then 60,000 enrolled at UCF now. Welcome aboard Seabass. I work here at UCF. If you're ever in the Health Center building, come say HI. just ask anyone for Greg, I do the payroll here.

I graduated UCF class of 2010. Enjoy all of the on campus arenas/stadiums. Sports wise your going at the right time. We should be looking to do big things in football and basketball the next 4 years.

Congratulations man! Welcome to the UCF family! I just graduated this past Spring with a business management degree and completed the pre-reqs for dental school, so I know a great deal about academics. Additionally, I was involved in a fraternity (if you have any questions regarding that feel free to ask).
I LOVED my time at UCF and I am sure you will too!seabass0795 likes this. -
I respectfully disagree.
-All but 2 US Presidents since 1825 have been Fraternity members
-63% of US Cabinet Members since 1900 have been greek
---- To put those in perspective, less than 3% of Americans are Greek
-Of North America's 50 largest corporations 47 are headed by Greeks (I've literally had fellow brothers move up the corporate ladder faster due to them being greek)
-The all fraternity and sorority GPA is higher than the overall college GPA
Three things in regards to joining a fraternity:
1.) Don't become a douche
2.) Don't judge other people that are/aren't Greek. I made plenty of friends outside the Greek system and still remained friends with my High School friends.
3.) Join a fraternity that will make you a better person. If you rush, ask yourself, "would I want to be like these guys one day? Could I grow as a person from them? Do I look up to them?" not "Are these guys cool? How many chicks do they get?"
Personally, joining a fraternity was a right decision for me and I wouldn't be where I am today without it. Many of my friends have gone on to great jobs Doctors, Dentists, Lawyers, etc. It is a great feeling knowing if I ever need anything important or down the line if my child needs special attention from a Doctor I can call one of my Brothers and get the care and attention he/she needs. Additionally, it really helps make you feel apart of such a large university. That being said, I was a founding father and helped shape the fraternity I joined into being an actual fraternity of men that stand (I mean really stand) for our values and creed.
Just my two cents...dolfan32323 and gunn34 like this. -
Attended a two day dental simulation course out at UNLV two summers ago. I absolutely loved the area, weather, Vegas (obviously), and most of the girls I met were easy on the eyes too lol.Jt0323 likes this.
