I normally make my own mock drafts and do alright. This is the first one I am posting on this or Dolphins website. Lets see how I do... 1.) Miami- Jake Long 2.) St. Louis- Chris Long 3.) Atlanta- Matt Ryan 4.) Oakland- Darren McFadden 5.) Kansas City* (projected trade with New Orleans)- Glenn Dorsey 6.) New York J- Vernon Gholston 7.) New England- Sedrick Ellis 8.) Baltimore- Leodis Mckelvin 9.) Cincinnati- Derrick Harvey 10.) New Orleans* (projected trade with Kansas City)- Ryan Clady 11.) Buffalo- Devin Thomas 12.) Denver- Keith Rivers 13.) Carolina- Johnathan Stewart 14.) Chicago- Jeff Otah 15.) Detroit- Dominic Rogers-Cromartie 16.) Arizona- Rashard Mendenhall 17.) Kansas City- Phillip Merling 18.) Houston- Branden Albert 19.) Philadelphia- Chris Williams 20.) Tampa Bay- DeSean Jackson 21.) Washington- James Hardy 22.) Dallas- Felix Jones 23.) Pittsburg- Godsar Cherilus 24.) Tennessee- Limas Sweed 25.) Seattle- Dustin Keller 26.) Jacksonville- Jerod Mayo 27.) San Diego- Kentwan Balmer 28.) Dallas- Aqib Talib 29.) San Fransico- Quentin Groves 30.) Green Bay- Brandon Flowers 31.) New York G- Kenny Phillips Any and all comments are welcome.
I like except switch 2 and 3. I dont see how DRC can slip past AZ because of their huge corner need. Rolle was moved to safety this off season. Texans take Williams over Albert? I agree with the rest of it. Good mock bro.
I think Arizona could pick Stewart over DRC because of how bad James was last year. But, I am going to change Williams and Albert. ALSO, I just noticed I have Harvey going twice.... I can't believe I did that. That screws up everything!
In my original mock, I also have Stewart to AZ. I Think thats a great fit. LMAO at Harvey, I didnt even notice.
Ok allen what would you do if you where in my situation: 1.) Move DRC to 15 then add Aqib Talib to 17 or 2.) Move DRC to 15, Phillip Merling to 17, James Hardy to 21, then Aqib Talib (or Malcolm Kelly) to number 28.
I would do.... Merling to 17 Talib to 28 I still like DRC to Pats at 7 to be honest, him or Mayo/Rivers and then moving Ellis to Cincy at 9.
Heres something really quick I put together. 1.) Miami- Jake Long 2.) St. Louis- Chris Long 3.) Atlanta- Glenn Dorsey 4.) Oakland- Darren McFadden 5.) Kansas City- Ryan Clady 6.) New York J- Vernon Gholston 7.) New England- DRC 8.) Baltimore- Matt Ryan 9.) Cincinnati- Sedrick Ellis 10.) New Orleans- Leodis McKelvin 11.) Buffalo- Devin Thomas 12.) Denver- Keith Rivers 13.) Carolina- Johnathan Stewart 14.) Chicago- Jeff Otah 15.) Detroit- Derrick Harvey 16.) Arizona- Jonathan Stewart 17.) Kansas City- Phillip Merling 18.) Houston- Branden Albert 19.) Philadelphia- Chris Williams 20.) Tampa Bay- DeSean Jackson 21.) Washington- 22.) Dallas- Felix Jones 23.) Pittsburg- Godsar Cherilus 24.) Tennessee- Limas Sweed 25.) Seattle- Dustin Keller 26.) Jacksonville- Jerod Mayo or CC.... Mayo bc Peterson keeps getting injured or CC because reason listed below. 27.) San Diego- Kentwan Balmer 28.) Dallas- Aqib Talib 29.) San Fransico- Quentin Groves 30.) Green Bay- Brandon Flowers 31.) New York G- Kenny Phillips I left the blanks because im not too sure what to put in. Maybe a reach for Calias Campbell at 26 if theres no possible trade for JT?
You know this draft stuff is getting really crazy right now. Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that Falcons are really interested in Ryan, BC QB. If they take Ryan, that slips Dorsey to Oakland who could field trade offers. If a trade happens between those, this could twist all of our mocks like hell.
I like that. I switched Mayo and Groves in my mock. Last question: Do you think the Chiefs are going to select Matt Ryan? Thats the biggest question of this draft...
Thanks. The Chiefs will not select Matt Ryan. Mortensen reported about half an hour ago that they will not select him because they believe that they have too many needs on that team and not enough talent around him to succeed.
Yeah and now the Raiders WILL take McFadden barring a trade at the four spot. I dont like this, this draft has already three selections lol and it doesn't start for another hour and 59 minutes.
Would you keep Dorsey at #3? or move Matt Ryan there? I can't tell which one is a smoke screen. I think Atl will trade with New England to get more picks, and then still pick Matt Ryan. I would do that if I were ATL. However, If i put Dorsey at 3 and Ryan at #7 people would look at me like I am crazy...
I dont think Ryan goes to NE at all, if anywhere he goes to Baltimore at eight. They are trying to move up in the draft right now to select Ryan (well after the Falcons pick, DOH!) according to ESPN. As for Dorsey, put him at 3. I would put him there. I posted a rumor about two weeks ago about Falcons liking Brohm of UL A LOT. Dont be surprised to see them pass up Ryan for Dorsey and than move back into the first to select Brohm, if Brohm is available in the 20's that is. If they choose not to move back up, they could select Josh Johnson. They have worked him out a few times now and came away impressed. He could be their 2nd or third rounder. They have 7 picks in the first 103. They could very well move up.
I didn't think New England would select Matt Ryan. I was thinking they would trade up with Atlanta to get Glenn Dorsey like the rumors were before. If ATL did that trade they could still get Ryan at #7, before the Ravens. I think I will keep everything the way I have it now. I am tired of changing it. Thanks a lot for your help.
If Ryan falls, he wont get past 6. Jets were trying to trade up with the Rams to get Ryan earlier this week but failed to do so. No problem bro.
http://forums.thephins.com/showthread.php?t=6800 Thats the thread where they were talking about moving up if you like to see.
I got 10 total picks right out of 31. I am pretty impressed with myself, that is really good. I also correctly picked the first 7 picks. A special thanks to alen1 for his help!
